The challenges of being a soccer mom! 😂⚽️😭

Mnqobi is home from the UK for the summer holidays, and now that he’s a teenager, he has decided that he is ALWAYS right and his word is FINAL! 😭😂

Today we are outside arguing because he wants to play soccer against my newly painted wall! I’m like, “At least use the dark wall!” But nooo… he must have the last word! 🤦🏽‍♀️😂

And honestly, soccer moms will understand my struggle. Sometimes it’s the newly planted grass getting damaged, sometimes it’s my plants, and sometimes—because apparently outside is not enough—they bring the soccer INSIDE THE HOUSE! 😭⚽️😂

The list goes on and on… but somehow, I’m still the biggest fan and the loudest supporter! ❤️⚽️

Soccer moms, be honest… do your kids also play soccer inside the house, outside, or EVERYWHERE?! 😂😂⚽️

Watching the incredible women of Mpumalanga grace the stage at Miss World South Africa and Miss African Beauty Universe filled my heart with so much pride. @romandahombir & @bajabulisethela You represented our province with elegance, confidence, and purpose. I found myself screaming at the top of my voice because seeing women from home shine on such a big stage is something worth celebrating. ❤️

I just wanted a peaceful morning walk… but these birds have declared war on us.

POV: You wake up for a peaceful sunrise walk with your dog… only to remember you’re entering Blacksmith Lapwing territory. 😂🐦

For the past 5 days, Gucci and I have had the same morning routine:
☀️ Enjoy the sunrise.
🌳 Stop every few metres while Gucci “reads his morning newspaper” (every pole, tree and rock needs a sniff… and a pee 🤦🏽‍♀️😂).
🚶🏽‍♀️ Continue our walk.
🐦 Hear the birds start calling…
😳 Realise we’ve entered their territory.
🏃🏽‍♀️ RUN FOR OUR LIVES!

I’ve waved my phone, thrown a shoe, tossed my cap, even picked up a rock (without wanting to hurt them, of course 😅. I absolutely love birds , I even have cockatiels at home but when they’re protecting their nest, they’re fearless! My priority is making sure both Gucci and I get home safely.

It also reminded me that the unexpected can happen anywhere. Whether it’s a thorn, something Gucci decides to chew when I’m not looking, or one of our wild adventures, you can never predict what’s around the corner.

That’s why we choose to be prepared. 🐾❤️ Knowing that Gucci is covered by @dotsure.co.za gives me one less thing to worry about, so we can keep making memories together even if some of them involve us sprinting away from very determined birds! 😂

Has anyone else ever been chased by these birds, or is it just Gucci and me? 🤣

It’s summer holidays, and I’m beyond grateful that my soccer star gets the opportunity to train with Mamelodi Sundowns while he’s home. Every training session is another step towards his dream, and as his mom, watching his journey unfold is something I’ll never take for granted.

A day in the life of a boy mom. 🤍

Lately, I’ve been choosing a slower, more intentional way of living. Comfort wear over chasing trends. A capsule wardrobe that makes life simpler. Football fever has officially taken over our household, Suddenly everyone is a manager… choosing their starting XI, planning tactics and deciding who makes the squad. 😅⚽
