AN ARCHIVE OF HUMAN STORIES

With the rise of AI, I started thinking a lot about how it might affect my work and the way I create photo references.

We live in a time when anyone can generate almost any reference or image they can imagine, and in very good quality. So naturally, I started questioning where my work fits into all of this.

Why would someone still want to buy my reference packs when they can simply generate an image themselves? But then I realized that what I’ve been creating is an archive.

Not just an archive of photographs, but an archive of stories.

Every pack has its own theme, its own model, and something personal that the model and I bring into it. And within each pack, there are countless poses, situations and little moments that can give artists ideas they might never have thought of when sitting down to write a prompt for AI.

My packs offer a wide variety of poses, but for me, it has never been only about the pose itself. There is often a small story happening between lights and shadows. A certain expression, gesture, tension, or interaction that can lead an artist somewhere completely different from what they originally had in mind. Sometimes all you need is that unexpected little spark to inspire something new.
And, last but not least, these references are something created by people.

Photography once shook the art world too. Later, digital photography changed things again, making images more accessible than ever. And yet, painting never disappeared. Neither did handmade work. We still value things that carry the trace of the person who made them.

I believe the same will remain true in the future. No matter how advanced AI becomes, there will still be a place and a desire for stories created from human perspective

Sculpted by light, swallowed by shadow.

This reference pack captures soft male beauty through dramatic tenebrism, inspired by Caravaggio. Flowing fabrics, exposed skin, elegant gestures, and carefully crafted poses highlight the male physique with a timeless quality. Expect deep shadows, luminous flesh, expressive hands, and compositions that feel pulled straight from an Old Master painting. A rich study of anatomy for artists who want something far beyond ordinary pose references

Being a photographer I meet a lot of new people- I must tune to those models as well. Make them feel comfortable and get the most natural reactions while making sure they will feel comfortable to express themselves.

I prefer to collaborate with models who are good people and I feel like they are boosting my energy rather than drain it. @mattwaffula is one of those people. I am happy to release our latest collaboration- CHIEFTAIN 2- photo reference pack (avaliable on my platforms)

Interesting fact: I have a dog- and I always see who is a good person by the way they interact with my dog 😀 It has been a test proven by time. by @reference_packages

This digital photo reference pack features an older male character depicted as a prophetic figure, captured with expressive poses and strong storytelling presence. The set includes three distinct costume options, allowing artists to explore different visual interpretations of a timeless prophet archetype. High-resolution images highlight anatomy, fabric flow, and character mood from multiple angles. Ideal for illustrators, concept artists, and storytellers seeking authentic, versatile reference material for dramatic or historical works by @reference_packages
