Sometimes, silence can be more comforting than words. It doesn’t take away the sadness, but it can make it a little easier to bear.

Between the branches,
there is space.
Between the flowers,
there is silence.
And in that silence,
there is beauty.

Inspired by the Japanese art of ikebana. by @reflectionsonbeauty

The kids have grown up and moved out. And for the first time, it’s just the two of us.

A new chapter of life, more time for each other, and so much to look forward to. ❤️

A long journey, but one I’m happy to make.

Some people can live far away and still feel completely close.

It was so nice to sit down for a coffee and finally have time to talk.

We don’t always make enough time for the people we care about.

Another little ikebana experiment
I’m really falling in love with this Japanese art of flower arranging.

What do you think of my latest one?

I think we all carry a few pebbles we could probably put down.

Have I already told you that I started learning ikebana? 🌿

I’m still very much a beginner, but I love the quiet, thoughtful process of arranging flowers.

These days, slow living isn’t about doing less. It’s about appreciating a simple, peaceful life a little more.

Has this changed for you too?
