If I came to your home, hereโ€™s what would actually happen.

First, youโ€™d fill in a short questionnaire. Then weโ€™d have a proper discovery call so that when I visit, we can get into the real detail and actually make a difference.

On the day itself, we might open the back door to let stagnant energy out, but before we do that, we take a breath.

Many of my clients have just done the school run, hit the supermarket, answered three emails. A minute or two to reset means we work through things calmly and logically.

Then we talk:
- Who are you?
- Who lives here?
- What are your routines, your interests?
- Do you like to socialise at home?
- How does your home feel right now?

We walk through your space and I spot whatโ€™s working and what isnโ€™t. A piece of furniture blocking light ,artwork hung the way it was when you moved in five years ago or a room that could flow differently.

Then comes the honest conversation: what isnโ€™t serving you? If you donโ€™t love it or use it, itโ€™s taking up a spot that could be free, or could hold something youโ€™ve actually chosen. We move past the guilt together.

We reposition, we explore colours, we look at whatโ€™s missing. A small bistro set or perhaps a reading chair. I collaborate with beautiful local makers and designers - things made with care, not just off a shelf.

After, I set up a WhatsApp group. We document everything and I keep researching. When we move into full design, I give you a budget and a programme - not one huge month, but spread across months so it breathes with your cash flow.

By the end, you know what youโ€™re doing, you feel confident and you think, โ€œI know what I like,โ€ instead of โ€œI need an interior designer.โ€

And your home? Itโ€™s calm, ordered, full of flow and a place to retreat, reset and rest. You wake up boosted by your surroundings and feel you can conquer anything.

Thatโ€™s the work I do ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿคโœจ

If you want to explore working together in early 2027 (letโ€™s be honest, we are nearly there), drop me a message and we can chat. by @reframewithjules

I use incense when Iโ€™m working in a space.

Sage, Palo Santo - sometimes just a simple stick. Not because Iโ€™m spiritual or woo-woo about it, but because scent shifts how a room feels in seconds. All senses are important.

When you open the back door to let stagnant energy out and the front door to let fresh air in, lighting incense is like giving the space permission to reset alongside you.

Itโ€™s practical and your nose knows when something has shifted.

If youโ€™re feeling stuck in a room, or in a pattern, sometimes the smallest sensory shift is all it takes to break it. A scent, an open window or a corner rearranged.

Try it. Light something and notice how the space changes ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿคโœจ by @reframewithjules

How you arrange your space changes how you move through it.

This isnโ€™t about mysticism. Itโ€™s about creating a corner that invites you in, about light and about whether a room makes you want to stay or makes you want to leave.

A chair positioned where the light lands, books organised so they make you smile, a plant that brings life or a quote that speaks to you. These small, intentional choices add up.

When your space works for you instead of against you, everything shifts. You donโ€™t just live in it, you live in it.

Do you have a corner like this? ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿคโœจ by @reframewithjules

Like many of us, my personal and professional lives aren't separate. They never have been.

I've navigated parenthood, separation, divorce, relocation, and bereavement. I've managed changing needs of children, elderly parents, modern living, and I understand complexity because I live it.

And I've also spent years in property development, management and construction. I understand the process, the pressure and the vision-to-reality journey.

Once I realised I could bring my whole self into my work - all those experiences, all that knowledge, all those lived lessons - everything changed. The quality of the work got better, the enjoyment got better, and also the impact got better.

Because I don't help clients from a textbook - I help them from experience. I know what it's like to navigate big transitions, what it's like to create something from nothing, and what it's like to manage complexity and come out the other side.

So when you work with me, you're not working with someone who's read about these things, you're working with someone who's lived them. In different spaces, under different pressures and through different chapters.

That's what makes me the catalyst for your next chapter, I've been through mine, and I know how to help you through yours. by @reframewithjules

Working with Vivien has been an absolute joy.

What started as freshening up a hallway became something so much bigger - a real transformation that touched every part of her home and how she feels in it.

Vivien, thank you for letting me in, for being brave enough to go through cupboards and get curious about what mattered, and for trusting the process even when it got emotional. Your home is a testament to intentionality, and your energy in that space is palpable.

I can't wait to share some images of what we've created together in the next week or so. This is the real work and this is why homes matter. ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿคโœจ by @reframewithjules

Before and after photos don't capture what I do.

I'm not working with paint colours or furniture arrangement (though those matter). I'm playing with feelings. I'm playing with your possessions - the things that matter to you. I'm recreating, I'm editing and we're auditing together.

And then we're bringing in some new.

All of that together - the kept, the cleared, the new - gives a completely different energy flow. It invites in new opportunity, and it shifts how you move through your space and how you feel in it.

A before and after photo can show you the room, but it can't show you the energy. It can't show you how it feels to walk in now, how you breathe differently, how you show up differently, how you're able to be a better version of... well, you know what I mean (best version of self is such a cliche, but yeah, that thing).

That's the work I'm doing, and that's what a photo can't capture.

So if you're looking at my feed waiting for a dramatic before/after, you might not see it the way you expect. But what you will see is the feeling - in the testimonials, in the stories, in how my clients describe their homes now.

That's the real transformation ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿคโœจ

Your home absolutely shouldnโ€™t hold tension or make you feel on edge. It should hold you like a big warm hug. Like a warm blanket wrapping around you. It should feel nourishing, reassuring and grounding.

It should feel like: oh yeah. Exhale. We're home. Kick off your shoes. Kick back and relax.

Because when your home does that, something magical happens - it allows you to rest, to recharge, to reset and to decompress. And then you emerge brighter, inspired, uplifted, ready, energetic and curious.

You walk back out into the world - into work, into parenting, into wellness, into health - with a full battery feeling. Like you've been on charge all night, like you're rested, like you've done what you needed to do, and you've done it well.

That's what I'm delivering when I work in a home - not interior design, not decoration - a feeling.

So my process starts differently. I send a form with some thought-provoking questions:
- How do you want your home to feel?
- Who lives here?
- Do you want to socialise?
- What would you like to do in this space?
- What feeling would you like to evoke?

It's light, it's not exhaustive it's curious.

Then on a discovery call, we pick it up and we start to pull it apart a little. We play with curiosity about what we could create, what feelings we want to evoke, and how we might make that happen.

Because ultimately, it's not about the furniture or the paint colour or the layout - it's about how your home makes you feel when you walk through the door.

And that's why I do this work ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿคโœจ

I've had this conversation with a few clients recently. They promised themselves they'd clear out, upgrade the dining furniture, make space for more people around one table. And they haven't done it yet, in fact, some of them have been saying "next year" for a few years now.

So I'm saying: let's not wait for next year. Let's work with what you've got right now.
Christmas is weeks away, and there's still time to make this one better than the last.

Start by looking at what you already have: your special crockery, that coffee cup you forgot about, the things that make you smile. Christmas is your social time - it's when you gather everyone you love together and ttose pieces matter.

Then let's look at the layout: How's your dining area working? Can people move around comfortably? How's the kitchen flow when you're prepping Christmas dinner?

Small shifts in furniture, clearing what doesn't serve you, making intentional space - it all changes how Christmas feels.

This isn't about stress and fanfare and worrying about who sits where. It's about bringing everything you've got together with everyone you love and seeing how that lands. It's about a joyful, relaxed Christmas - and that starts with your space.

We can make this Christmas better. Even now. Even with weeks to go.

But while we're doing that, let's also talk about next year. If you've been dreaming of bigger Christmas gatherings, if entertaining is something you want to do more of, if you need a real plan to make those dreams happen, we can start that conversation now.

We can plan for 2027 so that you have time, you have budget, you have space, and you can actually enjoy it instead of stressing about it.

So if this is you - if you're thinking "I should have done this already" or "I want next Christmas to be different" - DM me now. Let's see what you've got and let's make this one great, and let's plan how to make next one even bigger.

Because I believe we can ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿคโœจ by @reframewithjules

That feeling when you know your home needs something, but you're overwhelmed by where to start?

I work with a lot of people in that place, they see the potential and they know something's not right. But there are too many ideas, too many choices, and it all feels like too much to do alone.

That's exactly what the Refocus package exists for.

It's not about overthinking it or getting paralysed by options. It's about getting real, hands-on support to bring order, direction, and inspiration into your space. The kind of support that actually moves you forward, not just gives you more to think about.

We start with understanding you - what you need, what's frustrating you, what matters. Then we visit your space and look at what's actually possible. Colour, texture, layout, how to re-use what you have, how to re-purpose things, how to refresh the energy and flow.

But it doesn't stop there. We come back. A longer second visit where we actually work through it together. I'm not just telling you what to do - I'm here arranging, assisting with the decisions, making real changes happen in your space. You don't leave with a plan and a to-do list. You leave with progress and with momentum.

And a final follow-up to make sure it all feels right and answer any questions that come up.

If you're stuck and overwhelmed, and you need someone to help you move through it - not just dream about it - this is what Refocus is for. Drop me a message. by @reframewithjules

As we move into autumn, light becomes everything.

Summer light is bright and flooding - it fills every corner. But autumn light? Autumn light is different - it's warmer, gentler and it invites you to slow down.

This is the time to introduce warmth into your spaces. Not just colour - though that matters too - but actual, tangible warmth. Lighting that makes you want to pause, to sit and to stay.

I'm thinking about lamps like this one - warm bulbs and textured shades that soften the light. Itโ€™s kind of glow that says autumn is here, and it's time to settle in.

Your home needs to shift with the seasons. Summer called for open windows and brightness. Autumn is calling for something cosier, warmer, more grounded.

Light is how you answer that call.

When the days get shorter and the mornings get darker, the way you light your home becomes crucial. It affects your mood, your energy and whether you want to curl up or rush through.

So as we come out of September, as things quiet down, look at your lighting. Bring in warmth, create pockets of glow and make your home a place you want to stay in as the season changes.
That's when spaces come alive - when they move with the rhythms of the year instead of fighting them.

If this resonates and you want to talk about your home, DM me โ€˜chatโ€™ and Iโ€™ll get in touch by @reframewithjules

I shared this idea with a few people this week. A simple thought about how our homes sometimes lag behind who we've actually become.

And something happened. It really hit home with people.

Within days, it brought me a new client. Someone who really understood those words and thought: 'yes, that's exactly where I am.'

I think when you articulate something that people have been feeling but couldn't name, it lands differently. It feels true, it feels urgent and it feels like permission.

Because so many women are living in homes that don't reflect who they are right now. They're holding space for an older version of themselves - the version that made decisions five years ago, ten years ago, when life looked different.

But you're not that woman anymore.

You're smarter.
You know yourself better.
Your taste has evolved.
Your needs have changed.
Your life is different.

And your home should reflect that.

If you're one of those women - living in a space that feels like it belongs to someone you used to be - I see you. And there's a way to change it.

It starts with catching up to yourself.

This is just a little of the planning work behind the scenes for a Reset package.

My client came to me ready for a full transformation. We spent months going through the house together - clearing rooms, re-curating artwork, ornaments, furniture. We moved things around to create better flow. We brought together crockery and glasses to create an eclectic, intentional table setting full of meaning and memory. We added colour. We got buy-in on the design direction.

But here's where most designers stop. Here's where I don't.

Now we're in the project management phase. Last week alone, I coordinated cabinet makers, French polishers, electricians, wallpaper hangers, painters, carpet fitters, upholsterers, and curtain fitters. All working together, all on schedule, all within budget.

But it's not just about managing trades - it's about managing my client's experience. I keep them in the loop to the degree they want, without overwhelming them with detail they don't need. I set expectations so they know what's coming, but the day-to-day chaos doesn't feel like chaos.

We've planned this transformation over a year because that's what works for their life. They've been able to take family holidays, entertain over summer and relax. Because I've made sure we leave the house in a better state after each phase - not worse.

That's project management done right, a tight hold on costs so nothing runs away, a timeline that works for their budget and their life, and a client who feels calm, supported, and in control through the whole process.

The Reset package isn't just about design. It's about bringing your vision to life without disrupting your life.

That's the work I love.
