💜 YOUTH MATCH: Connecting young people to what they need to thrive.

We were proud to partner on the inaugural Youth Match: A Community-Based Youth Navigation & Social Prescribing Initiative, bringing young people, community organizations, service providers and caring adults together in one space to build stronger pathways to support.

We recognize that youth need the right connection, at the right time, to the right people.

From mental health and wellness to education, employment, mentorship, recreation and community belonging, Youth Match was about making those connections easier, more personal and more accessible.

A huge thank you to Refuge Health, Hamilton Health Sciences, Sisters in Sync, every participating organization, and most importantly, the young people who showed up and engaged. 🙌🏾

This is what community looks like when we work together.

Tune In Foundation is proud to be part of building a stronger ecosystem of support for youth in Hamilton. 💜

📣 ANNOUNCEMENT! 📣

We’re proud to announce Ainara Alleyne as the inaugural Youth Mental Health Champion for our Youth Mental Health Ambassador Program (YouthMHAP)! 💚

So, what is YouthMHAP?

It’s a youth-led initiative at Refuge designed to empower youth to become leaders in mental health advocacy, build mental health literacy, reduce stigma, and connect young people to the supports and community resources they need. 🗣️🌱

As our inaugural Champion, Ainara will help amplify youth voices, spark conversations, share mental health resources, and help youth navigate and connect to community services and supports. 🧭🤝🏾

Because getting support shouldn’t feel like figuring it all out alone.

YouthMHAP builds on the incredible work already happening across our community to support youth mental health. 💚

Welcome , Ainara!

🌎✨ Hamilton Welcomes the World 💙

Last Saturday, we were thrilled to welcome international students to Hamilton and give them a chance to discover their new city and make important connections. This year, more than any other was the time to roll out that Hamilton welcome carpet!

From downtown tours and inspiring conversations, to incredible community partners and local resources, the day was filled with all that good stuff!

We’re grateful to have sponsored this special event and to work alongside the people and organizations who are helping make the transition to life in Hamilton a little easier for international students.

Most importantly, we heard from current and former international students who shared their journeys and hopes for building a life here. Their stories were reminders that coming to a new city is about so much more than finding a place to study; it’s about finding your people and community. 🏡❤️

Welcome to Hamilton. We’re so glad you’re here! 🌎💙

🌸💜Women’s Health Series — Session One🌸💜

✨ What an incredible way to kick off our Women’s Health Series! ✨

What was meant to be a small group session turned into a packed room of incredible women from diverse backgrounds! They asked questions, learned new things, and made great community connections.

Women’s health spans the entire life course: from adolescence and reproductive health to menopause and healthy ageing. In Canada, women’s life expectancy is 83.9 years, underscoring the importance of supporting women’s health at every stage of life.

A heartfelt thank you to ClearAccess Health for collaborating with us on this session. We’re grateful to Hodan and Mable, two incredible nurse practitioners who shared their expertise and continue to make an impact through their work at Refuge, in their own practices, and throughout the community. 💜

DM us and let us know what you’d like to learn about next🌿
