We've been working on our 2027 Training Calendar and we've got new courses up in the store....we are stoked about our 2027 offering so far, and we are NOT done adding courses. *Please note that we have chosen to only offer each class ONCE per year. So if you have been wanting to take a course, there will be one shot in 2027 to take it. #refugemedical #refugetraining by @refugemedical

MORE ON VEHICLE CONTINGENCY PLANNING! ⚔️🇺🇸 A few things to expand on from the video. This isn’t about preparing for the apocalypse. It’s about being prepared for the environment, the unexpected, and the possibility that your day doesn’t go according to plan. THE FIREARM In the video, I refer to the handgun is always carried in a low-profile IWB holster. The point is simple: when I leave the vehicle, it goes with me, wherever lawful. A firearm left in your vehicle does you little good when you’re standing somewhere else. I keep a second loaded mag in my contingency bag. THE CONTINGENCY BAG Pack for the environment you’re traveling through, NOT just your destination. Is it needed for around town - likely not/but where do you live? COLD WEATHER: Knit cap, gloves, and PROPER FOOTWEAR. I cannot emphasize footwear enough! Have a reliable means of starting a fire. Personally, I prefer a torch lighter. ☀️ ARID ENVIRONMENTS: WATER! Pack water and leave a small purification filtration device in the bag- they are all over the internet. You can survive a hell of a lot longer without food than without water. Hydration isn’t optional.I’m so serious about water in an arid environment I often throw a second backpack just to haul my water if going mobile. 🌧️ ALWAYS: Rain jacket with a hood, sunscreen, and the basics to protect yourself from the elements. 🎒 THE BAG: I use a backpack. Why? Versatility. If the vehicle becomes useless and I’m walking, my equipment goes with me. And everything here fits in it or straps to it. SEE THE PINNED COMMENTS FOR MORE! 🚨 THE BOTTOM LINE: For those of us who’ve spent a lifetime operating in places where things can go sideways in a heartbeat, this isn’t paranoia. It’s experience. You don’t need to live your life expecting the worst. But you damn sure better understand that the unexpected doesn’t care how prepared you THINK you are. There’s a reason we say it’s better to HAVE AND NOT NEED than NEED AND NOT HAVE. For those of us who’ve been there, that difference can be LIFE OR DEATH. PREPARATION ISN’T FEAR. IT’S DISCIPLINE. @vikingtilvahalla #Preparedness #Contingenc by @refugemedical
