a few weeks ago I had an incredible opportunity to play for @neocolours_official! it felt so surreal going from being my dad's roadie watching them perform their songs to now actually sharing the stage with them playing those same songs, and it was a dream come true, one that I didn't expect to happen so soon. I was intimidated by the offer at first, but the more I practiced, the more ready I felt. definitely the highlight of my year!

“Jump” by Van Halen

Second jam with my son @reg.johann

This jam was less about playing at each other and more about playing with each other.
➡️We kept the drums open and steady so the pocket could breathe, and let the guitar sit right on top with clean attack and space between notes.
That’s really what makes a band feel good: listening, placement, and leaving room for each other.
