If you consider yourself a small landholder, semi-rural lifestyler or hobby farmer, we’d love to hear from you in the “Small Landholder Survey” available in our bio!🌱🐑🐂🐓🐎🪴🌾

The definition of “small landholder” is not set in stone, but is generally considered to be 1-100 hectares (2.5-250 acres) of land. Nonetheless if you consider yourself a small landholder we’d love to hear from you!

This is part of the “Make Your Hectare Count!” Project (MYHC) supporting the development of small landholder’s skills and knowledge, and improve connection with peri-urban community and industry.

This project is supported by funding through the Western Australian Government’s State NRM Program.

Finding the right goods and services for the job shouldn’t be the hardest part of going regenerative. Whether it’s getting good advice, choosing the best soil test for your needs, sourcing a specific multi-species seed mix, or navigating Natural Capital Accounting providers, we want to make those "next steps" easier.

We’re building a directory and we need your input...

Do you provide a product or service for regenerative landholders?

Is there a local business you absolutely swear by?

We want to hear about it!

Comment below, shoot us a message, or email info@regenwa.com

@sustainabletable and @discover_regenerative have already developed incredible regenerative directories, and we're looking to add even more specialised layers to the local WA ecosystem!

Come for a deep dive into foliar feeding plants, compost extracts, low input nutrient management and so much more with internationally renowned soil health expert Joel Williams. I saw him present at a conference last year and he can transform the complexity of soil and plant health into concrete, doable actions. It’s a busy time of the year, but don’t miss this one. It’s your chance to access world class science for profitable and sustainable food production. Still some tickets left. #regenag #soilhealth #biostimulants #foliarspray #compostextracts by @regenwa

Today is International Day of Rural Women, and 2026 is also the UN International Year of the Woman Farmer.

Globally, women make up close to 40% of the agricultural workforce, according to the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO). Yet they own only around 15% of agricultural land and often have less access to credit, markets and decision-making. Until 1994 Australian women were not permitted to list "farmer" as their legal occupation! Thankfully we've made a lot of progress since 1994 and women are visible owners, managers and workers in Australian rural and communities.

Through our projects, the Sustainable Ag Team at Perth NRM and RegenWA are proud to work with resilient, resourceful rural woman and farmers every day. This photo features members of our Sustainable Ag team:

Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator: Tamagen Kempton
RegenWA Program Manager: Tibby Tuckett
Sustainable Agriculture Program Coordinator: Carrie Taylor

Our latest Natural Capital Accounting project has finally escaped the office and hit the ground! After months of planning, training, and mapping alongside Integrated Futures, Tibby and Carrie are officially out in the field gathering data on water quality, flora and fauna, ecological condition, and soil health & chemistry. Starting their work in Three Springs, the team is also venturing to Kojonup, Buntine, Kulin, and Williams to ascertain what may have changed on each farm since their previous assessments several years ago. To stay updated with findings and opportunities to get involved, head to the NCA project webpage on our website!
