Dre Island just released his third studio album, 'Love Is In The House'. The 11-track digital drop through Ineffable Records comes four years after his acclaimed debut 'Now I Rise'.
Before stepping up as a singer in the modern Reggae Revival movement with hits like 'We Pray', the Kingston native built his name engineering tunes for Sizzla and Jah Cure.
On this new project, he merges roots reggae, dancehall, R&B, and Afrobeats. You get strong features like Projexx and Zion deLion on 'Diana', plus Iotosh on 'Roses'.
We love seeing independent Jamaican talent reach a global audience, big up! Check out the full details on our website. #DreIsland #Projexx #ZiondeLion #Iotosh @ineffablerecords @dreislandmusic by @reggae.vibes.crew

The Top 5 features active shifting this week with songs moving up and down, while no tracks hold their position.
Buju Banton takes over position 1 as 'Butterfilies' climbs two places to claim the top spot. Former leader Yaksta slides down to 2 with 'Roar', while Vernal Sage pushes upward into position 3 with 'Good Over Evil'. Further down the countdown, strong upward momentum comes from Ginjah and Capleton, with 'Wata' leaping three spots to 14 and 'Red Again' jumping three places to 15.
A single fresh collaboration enters the lineup this week as Christopher Martin and Agent Sasco debut 'Easy' at position 24.
Meanwhile, Richie Stephens bids farewell as 'Trapped' falls off the board entirely. Pure shellings! #BujuBanton #Yaksta #VernalSage #ChristopherMartin @jamaicamusiccountdowncharts by @reggae.vibes.crew

This edition of Double 12" Spin turns up two 12" records from the late 1970s. First, we examine the late Tony Tuff and his 1979 release 'Stop My Roaming'. He brought us classic Volcano tracks like 'Water Pumpee' before building a bridge into the rub-a-dub era. The flip side features an anonymous deejay cut that is almost certainly U Brown.
Next, we switch to the Jolly Brothers and their sessions with Lee Perry at Black Ark. We cover their roots track 'Have A Little Faith' and the confusing release history behind their 'Conscious Man' album. These tunes still buss in any dancehall setup today. #TonyTuff #JollyBrothers #LeePerry #UBrown #BlackArk by @reggae.vibes.crew

Buju Banton returns to pure dancehall with his 13th studio album, 'Too Too Bad'. After taking a rootsier direction on recent projects, Buju reconnects directly with the raw energy that built his career. Tracks like 'We Nuh Play' and 'F.A.F.O.' hit hard, while 'Wild Woman' rides a fresh sampling of the classic 'Buy Out' riddim. We also get smooth moments like 'Satisfy Me' featuring Ari Lennox, alongside a roots message on 'Power' with Gramps Morgan. This project brings pure irie energy from start to finish. Read our complete breakdown on the site now to see why this release stands as his most convincing work in years! #BujuBanton #AriLennox #GrampsMorgan #DJKhaled #SukuGray by @reggae.vibes.crew

Back in 1978, Jacob Miller delivered a heavyweight message with 'Healing Of The Nation'. Jamaica was facing heavy political tension, and this track captured that deep struggle for unity. Produced by Tommy Cowan, the song pairs Miller's expressive vocals with a rolling groove from The Fatman Riddim Section. You can feel the real rootsman vibe on every beat, right down to the crisp drums on 'Healing Dub'. Decades later, this 7 inch single still hits with full force. Check out the full throwback feature on our site now! #JacobMiller #TommyCowan #FatmanRiddimSection #SylvanMorris #InnerCircle by @reggae.vibes.crew

Don't let the cover fool you. 'Soul Vendors On Tour' isn't a live album. It's a Studio One classic that captured a turning point in Jamaican music.
Reissued on July 16 in both standard black vinyl and a limited red edition, this 1967 release celebrates the label's historic UK tour while documenting the shift from ska to rocksteady. Jackie Mittoo, Roland Alphonso, Johnny "Dizzy" Moore, Lloyd Brevett and the rest of The Soul Vendors are in top form.
Owen Gray, Ken Boothe, Pete Johnson and The Tennors add standout vocal performances to a set that still sounds fresh nearly sixty years later. Seen? This one belongs on the shelf. #StudioOne #SoulVendors #KenBoothe #JackieMittoo #Vinyl by @reggae.vibes.crew

#review Deeper Roots out of Berlin is back with a serious 12" vinyl release featuring the Crown Prince of Reggae, Dennis Brown, and producer Niney The Observer.
On the A-side, you get the 1975 repatriation anthem 'Africa'. The Soul Syndicate provides a heavy foundation, and this extended mix lets the dub section breathe proper.
Flip the wax for 'Here I Come Again', a more reflective tune focused on inner peace. Santa Davis drives the riddim on drums, while Dennis’ vocals float through heavy echo.
This reissue gives two foundational 1970s tracks the respect and space they deserve. Pure irie vibes for any real collector. #DennisBrown #NineyTheObserver #DeeperRoots #SoulSyndicate by @reggae.vibes.crew

Step into reggae history! Writer Stephen Cooper links up with the legendary Ansel Collins for an exclusive, multi-part interview.
We explore the incredible six-decade career of a man often called reggae's finest instrumentalist. Ansel reasons about his early days in Kingston 13, learning chords from a Music Mart book, and practicing in an unused bathroom. He shares the real story behind giving a 14-year-old Sly Dunbar his big break on 'The Night Doctor'.
You will get the true history behind his massive global hits 'Double Barrel' and 'Monkey Spanner' alongside Dave Barker. We even dive into rare, quirky gems like 'Presenting Cheater with Elaine'.
No marketing fluff here, just raw history from a master multi-instrumentalist who helped shape the golden era of Jamaican music.
Check out the embedded YouTube clip in the post to listen to the audio session. Blessings to all the global reggae family. #AnselCollins #StephenCooper #SlyDunbar #DaveBarker #LloydParks by @reggae.vibes.crew
