my dad always wanted me to be a doctor, so naturally i had to throw him for a loop with what kind of doctor that’d turn out to be.. a Doctor of Chinese medicine & acupuncture 🤍 (with a few board exams to go)

full of so much gratitude and love for the people in my life who helped me get here over the last 4 years. my family who supported me from afar in every way possible — for taking the many late night calls, sending care packages, cross country flights to visit, texts checking in — for everything.
my friends who listened to me complain, pushed me forward, showed so much interest in and care for what I was learning, and who maybe became my patients 🫶🏻 and finally, for my classmates and now friends, who continue to inspire, challenge, and support me — thank you.

as Doctors of Chinese medicine & acupuncture, it’s common knowledge that we will be students of this medicine for the rest of our lives — one of the things i love most about this field. i am so, so excited to be on this journey of a lifetime, and i cannot wait to be able to share what this medicine has to offer (very, very soon).

A lot of changes these last few seasons ❊

3 years ago my body began to heal using traditional Chinese medicine & acupuncture. The gratitude, respect, and passion that I hold for TCM— which I’ve come to learn is a frustratingly complex yet wildly beautiful system — is almost overwhelming, and quite literally changed the course of my life.

These years have been the most challenging & incredible ones yet, both educationally & experientally. Full of growth, loss, insight, and waves of deep understanding coupled with complete confusion.

They’ve taught me to slow down and to listen; that both are vital. To tune in versus pressing mute. To stop seeking outward & start turning inward. To understand that our time here is not guaranteed, and to surrender to that fear — it’s a fact of life that will never change, just the way we choose to navigate it.

If you’ve enjoyed the little bits & pieces of TCM that I’ve shared thus far, thank you for embracing them with me — it means the world, & I hope to share more in the future ♡

2 more years to go on this journey, but a lifetime of learning that’s just getting started ࿊ ☾☼
