Artist Focus: Regina Collage

Catch Ukrainian avant-pop artist @regina_collage live at Arnolfini this Friday, as part of Bristol Photo Festival's Opening Music event.

Originally from Kharkiv, Ukraine, Regina creates lo-fi pop from fragments of bass, guitar and her own voice. Sung entirely in Ukrainian, her music resonates beyond language.

Her recent album, Horizont, explores the uncertainty of living between two places, shaped by the ongoing war in Ukraine and her experiences within Bristol's DIY music scene.

Regina joins @j_a_b_u_j_a_b_u with @will_memotone, and @danjohnsondrums with @anushiyeyarnell for a special night of live music accompanied by projections of photography and film from across this year's festival.

Excited to bring Hamburg-based krautrock/no-wave trio @lovesongsband to London for the first time. Bristol-based Ukrainian experimental outsider-pop musician @regina_collage will open the night, and the excellent @stella__zheng will be on the decks between and after the live sets.

Love-Songs ( @phase_group , @bureaub_ ) is a live band: drums, bass, and electronics interlock to create hypnotic, shimmering soundscapes.  For many years, the Hamburg-based trio has been refining their sound, weaving elements of Krautrock, dub, new wave, jazz, and cosmic music into a unique Love-Songs amalgam.

Regina Collage is a Bristol-based experimental outsider-pop artist and musician who is originally from Kharkiv.
Her latest album Horizont, a personal and honest document of rebuilding a life and creative voice in Bristol, was released last August on @doyouhavepeace . Regina moves between cloudy dissonance and stark minimal arrangements built around bass, fragments of guitar, and an exposed voice.

Stella Z is a London-based composer, producer, and DJ hailing from China, crafting immersive, narrative-driven soundscapes that blend organic, tribal, industrial, and electronic experimentation.
Designed to engage both body and mind, her sets move in waves, inviting outward movement while drawing reflection inward through tension and slow-burning momentum.

Holy Tongue and EartH present BASILIKUM 🌿
Saturday 5 December, EartH Theatre.

To celebrate their new album Basilikum, out tomorrow on AD93, we've invited Holy Tongue to curate a night at EartH Theatre, and we're delighted to be hosting it.

They've assembled a formidable line-up, with Shackleton, James Massiah and Regina Collage joining them for a night that moves between dub, percussion, electronics and all the spaces in between.

Four live sets, and what promises to be a captivating evening of music from start to finish.

Dan Johnson & Anushiye Yarnell

Dan Johnson (@danjohnsondrums) is a much sought-after percussionist, known for his collaborations with artists including Moor Mother, Dali de Saint Paul, Valentina Magaletti, Pat Thomas and others. For this show, Dan will be joined live by dance and performance artist Anushiye Yarnell (@anushiyeyarnell)

V v happy to be releasing the first single from @regina_collage 's next project,
'Vpiznavaty'

Ukrainian artist Regina Collage releases new single ‘Vpiznavaty’, an intimately recorded lo-fi experimental pop song containing a candid portrait of burnout and depressive exhaustion. Sung in Ukrainian, ‘Vpiznavaty’ doesn’t ask the listener to understand every word as feeling carries the track forward. Looking at those moments when even greeting friends feels overwhelming, it captures the quiet embarrassment of withdrawing from people you care about, and the slow recognition that sometimes stepping away is simply how you survive.

'Vpiznavaty ( @ggguuueeesssttt + A.Childs version)' sees 2 members of DYHP's own @j_a_b_u_j_a_b_u run the track back through the console, turning up the delay and stripping it back to a skeletal dub version.
