August 2nd, 2026 at 10:05 AM — our lives changed forever. 🩷✨ Welcome to the world, Nova. 👶🏾🌟

There are truly no words to describe the feeling of becoming a father. Holding my baby girl for the first time brought a level of love, joy, and purpose that I’ve never experienced before.

We’re beyond grateful for the village God has placed around us; the family and friends who have prayed for us, checked on us, supported us, and already shown our baby girl so much love. It means more than you know. 🤎

Most importantly, we thank God for trusting us with one of His greatest gifts. 🙏🏾 Nova, you are an answered prayer, a blessing, and a reminder of God’s grace.

And to my love ❤️ — watching your strength throughout this entire journey gave me an even deeper love and respect for you. Thank you for bringing our beautiful baby girl into this world and making me a father. I love you, and I’m so proud of you.

A special thank you to the @stelizabethnky (St. Elizabeth Edgewood Labor & Delivery team), especially the incredible midwives and nurses who cared for my ❤️ and Nova. Your patience, compassion, encouragement, and genuine care made this experience even more special for our family. We’ll forever be grateful. 🤍

A new chapter begins… and I’m proud to officially have my favorite title yet: a Girl Dad. 🥹🩷

Last Friday, our students took the first step in shaping their future. Our I & I Ceremony for JCG at West High was something special. Between the pledges and The Legacy Pour, these students showed that the future isn’t something they’re chasing…it’s something they’re already carrying inside them.

“Before I Let Go…” 🎶 That song reminds me that every season is worth celebrating; even the ones that don’t end the way you expected.

I’m grateful for this moment, for my incredible Pro 4:5 cohort, and for the opportunity to share the vision of @ctrlrnb on one of the biggest stages of my entrepreneurial journey. The trophy would’ve been nice, but the relationships, growth, and confidence I gained are priceless.

ALIGNMENT. PURPOSE. IMPACT. 🖤 Sometimes God puts you in rooms that remind you that what you’re building is part of something bigger than yourself. The WE GOT US! Brunch was one of those moments.

I especially have to give flowers to Shonda Hatch ( @iamtropikana ), CEO of The Parks Collective. A true inspiration, gifted storyteller, and the definition of a servant leader. She has a gift for speaking life into everyone she encounters, and it’s amazing watching how God continues to use her to impact people and communities. Thank you for believing in us, trusting CTRL as a partner, and continuing to inspire me personally. 🙏🏾

Thank you to @blackvotersmtr & @brittany_s_s for allowing us to be part of an experience centered around community, culture, joy, and using our voices.

This past weekend was about hoops, community and giving back! S/O to Hartwell Middle Schhool & the two championship teams from each grade took home the win AND $100 for each player! 🏆💰

But it was bigger than basketball; kids received FREE haircuts, FREE hairstyles, book bags and school supplies to help them start the new school year ready to go!

Big thank you to @parkscollectiveagency, @communitymanagershannelheath @djjdough @ctrlrnb Hartwell Middle School, JPMorganChase and everyone who made it possible.
