When you just can’t the right part , in the right quantities, what else do you do . Make your own of course. 25 hp cylinder head barrel nuts for a very early Kubblewagon. Made a few spares if anyone needs a few . #aircooledengine #vwsplitscreen #aircooledvw #aircooledvolkswagen #properenginebuilder #federationofengineremanufacturers #vwaircooled by @reichspeed_ltd

Not had a lot of opportunity to post up on here lately, never known a busy period like it . Machining has been off the charts with balancing cranks , cylinder head refurbs , cases , cases and more cases . Some of our engine builds coming along at pace now . Big road trip tomorrow for some new exciting equipment. #vwsplitscreen #aircooledengine #aircooledvw #aircooledvolkswagen #reichspeed #vwenginespecialists #serdi #crankbalancer #federationofengineremanufacturers by @reichspeed_ltd

Why settle for one custom made cam when you can have 2 . This is for a spicy type 4 engine . Ground from a chilled iron blank . #vwenginespecialists #reichspeed #aircooledvolkswagen #aircooledvw #aircooledengine #serdi #crankbalancer #properenginebuilder by @reichspeed_ltd

It’s great to hear back from customers about their travels powered by one of our engines. Mark recently made a 1200km round trip to HO26 with his oval and teardrop . He’s reported a faultless performance with his 25hp Okrasa motor, built right here at Reichspeed #aircooledengine #vwsplitscreen #aircooledvw #aircooledvolkswagen #reichspeed #vwenginespecialists #crankbalancer #properenginebuilder #federationofengineremanufacturers by @reichspeed_ltd

David’s 2332 cc race engine up on the test bed . Ready now for installation , then straight off to Belgium to ebi . It can’t be underestimated how much time , experience and of course money goes into building an engine like this . From machining new lifter bore sleeves, balancing the crank shaft , completely reworking the heads , combustion chamber reshaping, recutting the valve seats , notching the pistons , proper valve spring setup . All under one roof at Reichspeed. Choose your engine because they build an engine, not just assemble it . #vwsplitscreen #aircooledengine #aircooledvw #aircooledvolkswagen #reichspeed #vwenginespecialists #serdi #crankbalancer #properenginebuilder #federationofengineremanufacturers by @reichspeed_ltd

We’ve had Marks absolutely stunning split crew cab in for a few engine tweaks and setup before it hits the road in anger . Running one of our 2276 type 1 engines , it sounds as good as it looks . Built proper . #vwsplitscreen #aircooledengine #aircooledvw #aircooledvolkswagen #reichspeed #vwenginespecialists #serdi #crankbalancer #properenginebuilder by @reichspeed_ltd

One of the best ways to check what’s happening with your engine is to have a look inside your oil filter . #vwsplitscreen #vwaircooledcommunity #machineshop #aircooledengine #enginebuilder #enginemachineshop #aircooledvolkswagen #reichspeed #vwenginespecialists by @reichspeed_ltd
