After ten mad years, I have decided to step away from touring with Southall. I owe more to this band than I could begin to add up in words. I was just a kid when we started. The unimaginable places it has taken me, the incredible people it introduced me to (including my future wife), the things we made that will outlast us all: These experiences are among countless others that have quite literally shaped much of the person that I am and the wonderful life that I have. I am grateful to be stepping away on a positive note, and for the opportunity to leave an impact on the band’s upcoming album, of which I am extremely proud.

Thank you to Read, JT, and Jeremee for the greatest adventure I’ve ever been on. Thank you Braxton for the pasta and the laughs along the entire way. I would not be who I am without any of you and your friendship. We’ll always have Stillwater. Rest in peace Caleb Holt.

Thank you Ryan, Chris, and Hunter for your continued efforts. The band punches above its weight with you guys on board. I wish you all the best on the exciting year ahead.

Thank you to anyone who has supported our dream. All of it is a gift. I hope I’ve given more than I’ve taken.

You haven’t heard the last of me. I can’t say what the future holds, but there is music to be made. I look forward to what comes next.

Burning Bridges is about the ups and downs of betting on yourself in the face of doubt, and carving a way forward where no one else sees one.

I wrote this song in the summer of 2024 as I was thinking back on our journey as a band. The twists and turns of fate, the isolation you impose on yourself when you chase your dreams, and the question of whether or not it’s all worth it. The conclusion? it is.

It’s a real trip to think about where we were at in life when we recorded this song. So thankful for the chance to have been a part of it, and for the many memories made in the years since. Congratulations @southallofficial and thank you to those who have supported. All my love.

The end of 2024 was a difficult one. Close and unexpected encounters with loss naturally produce introspection and change. But there are lots of new and exciting things bubbling into existence around me, and it feels like healing. I can’t wait to share them with you. Be well.
