Getting tattooed can be such a personal experience and ensuring you are comfortable should be one of your artists main priorities!

As a tattoo artist I am prepared and experienced to expect any and everything everything. Open communication between myself and my clients is at the top of my list!

Here are some things you shouldn’t have to apologize for going into your next tatt appointment⬇️:

1. NEEDING A BREAK! You’re putting your body under trauma and it is normal to need a breather. I will say— sometimes taking too many breaks can also make the pain worse as the skin starts to swell the more time passes. If you need to tap out there is no shame. Listen to your body and let your artist know so we can continue accordingly.
2. TWITCHING! Super normal and uncontrollable lol I find it funny when it does happen and your artist should be prepared to expect it. Especially in places like the leg, ankle and foot! You can’t predict or control it— let it happen.
3. HAIR! We all grow it, no shame in it. I actually love shaving hairy clients it’s like ASMR. Each artist is different and some may require you to shave prior— always ask if you’re unsure.
4. ASKING TO ALTER THE DESIGN/PLACEMENT! It doesn’t matter if you want the tattoo 0.5cm to the left— let us know. If there are any minor changes to designs let us know as well. This is the only time you’ll be able to alter the image that will be on you for life!

I hope this helped you in gaining comfort going into your next tattoo appointment. It’s important to me that all my clients feel safe and know they’re prioritized🤞🏼💖✨
