I lost my grandmother three days ago. Most people who are her age knew her as Jenny, but I, along with my cousins and brother, referred to her as NaNa. That’s what I’ll be calling her for the rest of this post.

I remember when I was little and it rained outside that we would make a paper ball and play baseball that way inside. I remember her and my grandpa would wait at the end of the driveway to greet us when we got off the bus after school. I also remember whenever there was that crazy flood and silly little me was sacred, and she comforted me.

As I am sitting here writing this, I wonder what I am going to do without her, and to be honest, I really don’t know. Death is always going to be apart of our lives, but I didn’t expect it to be so soon, and I wish I got spend more time with you. NaNa, I love you, and save a seat for us up there.
