I love hand making and I love hand made tools. My dad made this nostepinne using wood from a tree in my garden. Every time I wind a ball of wool, I get to think of my dad, lovingly turning the wood to make this small but useful tool. I am blessed indeed. by @rekamegami

Making my own clothes, slowly, one stitch at a time. I love that this yarn is made using unsellable clothing and homewares from @salvosstores in Sydney, NSW 🌿 Thank you @dempstah for this awesome way to use up what we have. I am making a top to wear as the weather is warming. This yarn is a lovely mix of cotton and wool, perfect for our climate. #slowmaking #handmade #handknit #sustainablefashion by @rekamegami

Happy anniversary Steve @minnix64 🌸 40 years of marriage (44 years together), what a marathon! It is lovely to celebrate with you near to where our new home in Denmark is. #pepperandsaltdenmark #wesurvived It has definitely been a roller coaster ride. World Wide Spin in Public Day 2026. I am lucky to be in staying near Albany this weekend and hot to join in with sone local spinners. We started in the grass but the inclement weather sent us under the library verandah. Lots of folks stopped to chat and ask questions. We may have converted a few people. It was a lot of fun. #handspinning #handspinner #handspun #spininpublic #maker by @rekamegami

It is winter in this little corner if the universe. As brief as it is here, winter is a glorious time. The parched earth gets a long awaited drink, the plants are de-stressing in the cooler temperatures, and the dust is being washed away! We are so blessed 🌧️🌈🌳 Most of our trees don’t loose their leaves and the winter grass sprouts making everything green 💚. Naturally it is a great time to knit! My hands are hurting less so I am stash busting with gusto. 🧶🧶🧶 #knit #handmade #slowmaking #handknit by @rekamegami

Yarn brings me such joy. I love the possibilities that it brings, the creative process that I use to make something, then the giving, using or wearing of the finished piece. Can I please stop work and just make stuff now? I have enough in my stash to keep me going for a while …

We had visitors! Mr and Mrs spent some time checking us out today. Not sure if they were thinking about a dip in the pool maybe? I love it when the ducks come and play in the puddles near my home, never had them on the garden wall before. 🦆🦆🦆 by @rekamegami

These are my Karri trees. For those of you who did not see Steve’s post, we bought a piece of land in Denmark. We plan to build a home there as soon as we can. We will have a spare room and tents will be welcome. All will be welcome to come visit. Stay tuned for updates. by @rekamegami

This dream has been six years in the making. Cancer and Covid got in the way but now the dream is real. We have our own piece of land in Kwoorabup (aka Denmark). Perched on a green hillside with a view of Wilson’s inlet, I plan to grow old here with my husband, my cat, my #spinningwheel #weaving #knitting and general slow living. It will be a while before we can move, but the plan is in motion. Sea change/tree change here we come 🌳🌊🪨 by @rekamegami
