Long Caption Alert 🚨

Days before my birthday I was an emotional mess. Everything that could go wrong I felt was going wrong but regardless of it all you still made sure my day was celebrated. This birthday was very different from ANY other birthday I’ve had; and to have someone else plan something for me is also something I’ve NEVER experienced before. From the gifts to the restaurants I enjoyed my night thoroughly. I didn’t know what the plans were I just knew I had to be dressed and ready by 7 and my nerves were all over the place. So much so I was quiet the whole ride. I asked for hints for days and you wouldn’t give me a single clue and I’m glad you didn’t. And I was ready ON TIME!

No matter how bad you think you are down, know that you can get back up in the name of JESUS!!

April has truly showed out (in a good way) and it’s just the 5th. I can’t wait to show you all the progress of New Society. But I’m learning I have more lookers than supporters so I won’t be showing everything in real time since the engagement isn’t there anyway 🤷🏽‍♀️

I show up for others even when I have nothing left to give. So going forward I’m showing up for ME with my own 100%. I no longer have anything for anybody that never had anything for me.

And on that note, Happy Easter, Happy Resurrection Day, or just plain ole Happy Sunday to everyone 🫶🏾

Permits secured !! A few things I’ve learned in this process as a first time boutique owner:

1). Verify that your contractors are legit. Georgia has a lot of scammers out here that will try to take advantage of someone who doesn’t know any better. Thank GOD for my discernment!

2). Never pay all of the money up front. Make them work for it!

3). Get familiar with the people at your City Hall. They’ll be more likely to work with you when they put a face to the name on the applications.

4) NEVER try to get things done during the holidays. These last few months we’ve had so many holidays back to back the City Hall has been closed more than it’s been opened.

BUT today after almost 6 months of correcting and waiting, I got the building permits. So this summer and fall is gonna be lit! Stay Tuned!
