Our Relating Roses: Art to Action panel felt like 'therapy' 🧘🏽‍♀️

They’re all so unique, and were more than willing to simply share their journeys instead of preaching or pressuring. Leaving our Roses feeling inspired rather than out of place.

Relating Roses is about having fun, meeting people like you who are on similar journeys, but most importantly, walking away with a breath of fresh air.

Thank you. You guys are so important to making this Social special. 🌹✨

You felt seen, inspired, and a little more connected to the city you call home. 🌹

What was your favorite part or what do you want to experience in the future with us?
We're all ears! ❤️

Honored doesn’t even begin to describe this one. 🌹

Being invited to be a panelist for the @relating.roses event gave me the opportunity to share a little bit of my story, talk about what it means to be a creative, and hopefully remind somebody that their story and their art have value too.

Getting to share space with so many talented creatives and fellow panelists was something I’m genuinely grateful for. There’s something special about being surrounded by people who all express themselves in different ways, but still understand the same language of creativity.

And to be given the opportunity to share my art through a freestyle for the event… that meant a lot to me. I got to speak my story, then let my body speak it too.

Thank you for trusting me with the space, the microphone, and the floor.

To the Roses that showed up for one another... we are community and what it can look like in Des Moines. Relating Roses Social is not a one time thing and we'll continue thank you to your support and vulnerability to have a good time with a stranger.

This is what we live for, thank you for giving us purpose and we hope to see your beautiful faces at our next one. 🌹

Keep an eye out for what's blooming next.
