Indigenous New York Fashion Week will return to Manhattan this September.The second annual INYFW is scheduled for September 10–15, 2026, bringing Indigenous fashion, music, panel discussions, pop-up experiences, and community programming to New York City.Designer and model applications are expected to open in June, with ticket sales scheduled to begin in August.More venue details, partnerships, and programming announcements are expected soon. Spain won. Also thank you to everyone who came through!!!! We were able to get a deep clean done, it will take a while to reset, reorganize and recover but the worst is over. We couldn’t be more grateful for how much this little basement shop means to everyone. It fills our hearts. We have reported damage, have begun the insurance rat race, hoping our Mayor comes through #inshaallah and are taking preventative measures because this isn’t the first time and won’t be the last #floodzone #climatechange We’ll keep you updated but we are planning to be open next weekend- love you all, fr fr. Inventory is safe. However clean up will be extensive. Most of our furniture is destroyed and all our rugs of course RIP. Most of Korina’s fabrics are also ruined. 2026 INYFW applications are CLOSED No late submissions will be accepted. 30 designers will be selected 40+ models will be selected HMUA will be notified All acceptance letters will be sent no later than August 1st Incomplete applications will not be accepted. We received over 500 model applications and over 50 designer applications, unfortunately not everyone can be selected, however we encourage everyone to continue to apply in future years. Come celebrate Spiderwoman Theater’s50th Anniversary at our Block Party Pow Wow: An Indigenous Celebration on Saturday, August 15! Q The first of several festivities honoring our 50th, the Block Party will be an afternoon of art, culture, heritage, and neighborhood unity curated by Josephine Tarrant.Via: @spiderwomantheaterOur founders, the Miguel sisters, chose DeGraw Street between Court and Smith Streets to honor the vibrant Native community that called Boerum Hill, Red Hook, and Cobble Hill home in the 1930s through the ‘50s, including Mohawks from Kahnewake and the Western tribes. In addition to our anniversary milestone, we’ll also be celebrating Spiderwoman Theater co-founder Gloria Miguel’s 100th birthday!We’re excited to host Indigenous artists like the SilverCloud Singers and MC Louis Morse of the Thunderbird American Indian Dancers @thunderbirdamericanindians .
