8 nervous system habits that changed my life as a highly independent woman 🌹

For a long time, being “strong” meant handling everything myself, pushing through, staying productive, and rarely allowing myself to need anyone.

These 8 habits helped me create a different way of living:

1. I stopped treating rest like something I had to earn.
2. I started asking for help BEFORE I was overwhelmed.
3. I stopped automatically saying “I’m fine” and started acknowledging what I was actually feeling.
4. I created space before reacting, fixing, explaining, or making decisions when I felt triggered.
5. I practiced receiving without immediately feeling like I had to give something back.
6. I stopped filling every quiet moment with productivity.
7. I started listening to what my body was communicating instead of living entirely in my head.
8. I stopped making independence my entire identity.

I’m still strong.
I’m still capable.
I’m still ambitious.

But strength doesn’t have to mean doing everything alone.

I’m building a life where I can be powerful AND supported. Ambitious AND rested. Independent AND able to receive.

A life where wealth, freedom, pleasure, connection, and contribution can coexist. ✨

Save this for the days you catch yourself slipping back into “I have to do everything myself.”

Follow along if you’re learning that you don’t have to carry everything alone to prove you’re strong. 🤎

I had done the therapy. I had read the books. And I still couldn’t feel worthy.

Then breath did what years of trying could not.

This is the work I do now, one on one. In person if you’re in Greenville. Virtual if you’re anywhere else in the world.

The first step is a free consultation. Link in bio. 💛🌱🐦‍⬛

✨ It’s time to experience the power of your breath. 🌬️

What if the release you’ve been searching for begins with something you’ve been doing your entire life?

Breathing.

Your breath is more than a way to survive. It’s a powerful tool for reconnecting with your body, regulating your nervous system, and creating space for the emotions you’ve been carrying.

The stress. The tension. The emotions you’ve pushed aside. The weight of always having to be strong.

You don’t have to keep holding it all. 🤎

Through intentional somatic breathwork, you can begin to reconnect with yourself, explore what your body has been holding, and create space for something new.

✨ You deserve to experience what it feels like to release.

Are you ready to experience the power of your own breath?

🌿 Follow @releasewithraven and begin your journey back to yourself.

One of the best decisions I ever made for my financial freedom was releasing the shame around being my authentic self. ✨

I stopped believing I had to become someone else, fit into a certain image, or shrink parts of myself just to be successful.

I realized that I don’t have to abandon myself to create the life I desire.

My authenticity is my power. My freedom is in my self-expression. And my success doesn’t require me to be anything other than who I truly am.

Now, I get to help others release the shame, conditioning, and limitations that have kept them from fully embracing themselves.

Because the goal was never to become someone else.

The goal was to become the highest, most authentic version of YOU. 🦋

And there is so much freedom, abundance, and beauty waiting on the other side of that decision.

Breathe. Release. Become. 🌱

I’m really big on being the woman who makes others feel safe, seen, heard, and loved. 🤍✨

The woman who prays for her friends, celebrates other women without comparison or competition, and genuinely wants to see everyone win.

The woman who shows up, even in the smallest ways. Who chooses kindness, leads with compassion, and loves wholeheartedly.

Because true feminine power isn’t about being better than the next woman. It’s about knowing your own worth while reminding others of theirs. 🌷

I want my presence to feel like peace, my words to feel like encouragement, and my love to remind people that goodness still exists.

The world has enough haters. Let’s be healers. 🦋

And may we never forget that the love we pour into others deserves to be poured into ourselves, too.

I carry my inner child with me through every season of becoming. 🤍✨

The little girl who once dreamed of feeling safe, loved, seen, and free is still within me. She has witnessed every heartbreak, every lesson, every moment of healing, and every version of myself I’ve had to release to become the woman I am today.

And I know she’s proud of me. 🦋

Proud of the woman I’ve become. Proud that I never gave up on us. Proud that I’m finally giving her the love, freedom, and compassion she always deserved.

As I continue to evolve, I know she’s always with me. I’m not leaving her behind. We’re becoming together. 🌹

And I want to remind you that your inner child is still within you, too.

You don’t have to leave that younger version of yourself behind to become someone new. You can invite them into the life you’re creating.

✨ Include your inner child in your journey of becoming.

🌸 Make time for the things that brought you joy as a child.

🌸 Speak to your younger self with the love and compassion you may have needed back then.

🌸 Give yourself permission to play, explore, laugh, and experience life without always needing to be productive.

🌸 When difficult emotions arise, gently ask yourself, “What does the younger version of me need right now?”

🌸 Celebrate your accomplishments and remind your inner child, “Look how far we’ve come.”

Healing isn’t always about fixing what was broken. Sometimes it’s about reconnecting with the parts of yourself that were never given the freedom to fully exist.

You get to become the woman you desire while honoring the little girl who helped you get here.

Take her with you. Let her experience the beauty, love, freedom, and joy you’re creating. 🤍

✨ Meet the Women of Rooted in Her | Raven ✨

There is so much wisdom held within the body. Stories, emotions, memories, and experiences that sometimes exist beyond what words can express.

And sometimes, the journey back to ourselves begins with something as simple and sacred as the breath. 🌿

We are honored to introduce Raven of @release_with_raven, a breathwork facilitator bringing the medicine of conscious breath, embodied awareness, and intentional release into our sacred gathering.

Through her work, Raven creates space to reconnect with the body, honor what arises, and explore the freedom that comes when we allow ourselves to soften, surrender, and simply be.

At Rooted in Her, Raven will guide us through our movement of Release, inviting us into an intentional breathwork experience where we can gently explore what we’re ready to lay down, make space for what is emerging, and reconnect with the wisdom of our bodies.

Her medicine reminds us that release is not about forcing ourselves to let go. It is about creating the space, safety, and permission to do so in our own time, in our own way.

And perhaps, with every breath, we find ourselves a little closer to home. 🤎

✨ Healing began when I became aware of the patterns that were keeping me disconnected from myself.

Through shadow work, I began confronting the parts of myself that were rooted in shame, trauma, and survival mode.

My journey led me beyond traditional therapy and into deeper experiences of self-discovery, including plant medicine, somatic healing, and breathwork. 🌿

Through my experience with Ayahuasca, I was able to explore emotions and patterns that had been holding me back for years.

But the journey didn’t end there.

Integration was where I began learning how to embody the woman I was becoming.

Breathwork became a powerful part of that process, helping me reconnect with my body, cultivate self-love, and create space for a new way of being.

Healing isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about releasing the shame, conditioning, and patterns that have kept you from fully embracing who you are.

And that’s why I created Release with Raven. 🦋

To create a space where others can begin their own journey of releasing, reconnecting, and remembering the power that has always lived within them.

✨ Breathe. Release. Become.

What patterns are you ready to release so you can become more of yourself? 💚

To the Black, Brown, and Indigenous woman who is remembering herself… 🌿🤎

The woman learning to trust her own voice, honor her rhythms, and take up space in the fullness of who she is.

The woman who feels something stirring within her. Something ancient and familiar. Something that has been waiting to be remembered.

For the woman who isn’t wanting to become someone new, but to return to the wisdom, the knowing, and the essence that has lived within her all along.

✨ This is the heart of Rooted in Her.

A sacred, BIPOC-centered gathering, facilitated by myself and the beautiful @release_with_raven and @rawhoneybliss , created to honor the fullness of Black, Brown, and Indigenous women. A space for sisterhood, ancestral connection, embodied expression, and the beautiful remembrance of who we are, individually and collectively.

Together, we’ll journey through five intentional movements:

🌿 Arrive. Release. Reconnect. Reclaim. Remember.

Through ceremonial cacao, breathwork, sound, movement, story, and ritual, we’ll create space to listen inward, honor what is emerging, and celebrate what becomes possible when we gather in community…because there is so much within us worthy of being witnessed, honored, and expressed.

✨ Your magic has always lived within YOU. ✨

There is something deeply healing about giving yourself permission to simply BE. To live life on your own terms, follow what lights your soul on fire, and unapologetically embrace every part of who you are. 🦋

You were never meant to shrink yourself to fit into someone else’s expectations.

Your authenticity is your power. Your freedom is your magic. And being fully YOU is part of your healing. 🌿

The more you release who you were told to be, the more you reconnect with who you’ve always been.
