Okay, is anyone else a SUPER tourist while on vacation?

At some points in London, I genuinely couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Like, what do you mean I was INSIDE Buckingham Palace?! I got to walk the same hallways that Princess Diana once wandered through, living a life we’ve all read and heard so much about. I literally got to step inside history. Crazy!

And what do you mean I got to see sculptures and paintings from hundreds of years ago in person?! Pieces I wrote essays about for three terms! Unbelievable.

Every day I woke up in London feeling like I was walking through history. Everything I’d learned about the city, from wars and art to music and culture. I felt London.

London was such a vibe during the day and at night. The perfect first stop of Euro Summer.

It was giving New York on steroids???

Like… please take me back! 🇬🇧 taken in London, United Kingdom by @rellzg_

This was the best exhibit I’ve been to in along time. Every piece was so powerful & thought provoking. It drove my mind to really think & consider what it’s like being black in America back then and today. As I was walking through taking in the beautiful powerful art pieces I just kept thinking “I know were free, But are we really free?” Between police violence, African American voting rights being under attack, athletes being told to shut up and play basketball, young black men being killed over a bag of skittles or a toy gun I’ll stop now but you get the picture “Are we free?” We have certainly come along way in America but not far enough.
Honestly I just feel so privileged I got to see this. Go check it out if you can! I’m free to go with you! Lol I’ll def be back!
@jazchele captured this moment of me being in complete awe of one of the first pieces we saw. •
