Happy Father’s Day to my Daddy 👑❤️💛💜🔐

Growing up, I thought my daddy was overly protective, overly strict, and honestly… a little psychotic. 😂

If I left the house, he wanted to know where I was going, who I was with, who their mama was, what time I was leaving, what time I was coming back, and probably their blood type too. At the time, I thought he was doing entirely too much.

Now that I’m older? I get it.

The older I become, the more I realize how much protection daughters really need. How many situations I was kept from. How many mistakes I never had the chance to make because my daddy saw something I couldn’t see yet.

What felt like control was really love.
What felt like restriction was really protection.
What felt like him being “crazy” was really him being a father.

And the funny thing is, somewhere along the way, I became him. 😂

Not only do I look like my daddy, I act just like him too. The same things I swore I’d never do, I find myself doing. The same instincts, the same protectiveness, the same willingness to stand between the people I love and anything that might hurt them.

God knew exactly what He was doing when He chose you to be my father.

Thank you for every sacrifice, every lecture, every prayer, every warning, every time you showed up, and every time you stood guard over my life when I didn’t even know I needed it.

There is no greater blessing than being your daughter. I’m so grateful to be one of the lucky ones, I have the BEST DAD!!

Happy Father’s Day, Daddy. I love you more than life itself.

“Welcome to JamRock” has been playing in my head all year. 😭🇯🇲

Looks like Jamaica and I are taking a rain check this fall. Maybe next year.

Not gonna lie, I was looking forward to the sunshine, bamboo raft ride, a little limestone paste skincare treatment, good food, and doing absolutely nothing for a few days.

So now I’m over here replaying old Jamaica memories from 2025😂😂😂😂
