Beyond the objects, there are the encounters.
Travelling through Peru’s Sacred Valley, surrounded by the extraordinary landscape of the Andes, has been a reminder that inspiration isn’t always something you can bring home with you.

Sometimes, it lies in an encounter, a conversation, a landscape or in discovering a way of life and a cultural heritage different from your own.
For me, travelling has always been an important part of the way I look at design. It means staying curious, looking beyond the familiar and taking the time to understand where materials, techniques and traditions come from.

The Sacred Valley has offered plenty of those moments and a perspective that will stay with me long after this journey.
A very special part of Peru. 🤍

From fibre to fabric – entirely by hand.
In Chinchero, high in the Peruvian Andes, I had the privilege of visiting URPI, a collective of 15 women and their families dedicated to preserving and practising traditional textile craftsmanship. What makes their work so extraordinary is that every step happens by hand:
The wool from alpacas and llamas is sheared, washed and dried, then spun into yarn. Colours are created using what nature provides – plants, minerals and even insects – before the fibres are finally woven into intricate textiles.

Watching this process makes you understand just how much knowledge, patience and human touch exists within a single piece of cloth.

And perhaps that is what I find most inspiring about true craftsmanship: the finished object never tells the whole story. Behind it are hands, techniques and knowledge passed from one generation to the next. Traditions that remain alive precisely because people continue to practice them.

This is exactly what I came to Peru hoping to discover. Not simply beautiful things, but the stories, materials and people behind them.
And I am taking home far more inspiration than I could have imagined and can’t wait for the next stories to come!

A journey through colour, texture and history.
From Lima to Cusco, one of the things that has fascinated me most about Peru is how deeply craftsmanship and cultural heritage are woven into everyday life. Everywhere I look, there are colours, patterns and materials that tell stories: in the architecture and markets of Cusco, in beautifully crafted objects and, perhaps most strikingly, in Peru’s extraordinary textile tradition.

A visit to the AMANO Pre-Columbian Textile Museum offered another perspective on this heritage. Looking closely at textiles created centuries ago, their intricate structures, remarkable colours and craftsmanship, it becomes clear just how deeply rooted Peru’s relationship with textiles really is. And then there is Cusco itself: layered, vibrant and endlessly inspiring. A place where history is always present, yet continues to live and evolve.

For me, travelling is very much about these moments. Looking closer, discovering materials and techniques, and understanding the stories behind the things we surround ourselves with. And inspiration in Peru doesn’t stop at art, architecture and textiles. From the colours and craftsmanship of Cusco to an evening at Morena, discovering the country’s extraordinary culinary culture has very much been part of the journey, too.

Stay tuned as our journey as only just begun!

Next stop: Peru 🇵🇪
Tomorrow evening, Victoria is setting off on a journey that will take her from Lima to Cusco and beyond – including the spectacular Salkantay Trail through the Andes.

But as always, travelling also means looking: Looking for exceptional craftsmanship, traditional techniques, beautiful ceramics and textiles, unexpected materials and, above all, the people and stories behind them.

Peru, with its extraordinary tradition of weaving, ceramics and craftsmanship, has been on our list for quite some time. We can’t wait to discover what happens when centuries-old techniques meet a contemporary eye and perhaps bring some special discoveries back to Munich.

We’ll be taking you along over the coming times, sharing impressions, encounters and, hopefully, a few treasures along the way.

And while Victoria is exploring Peru, REMADE Interior in Munich remains open as usual – the team will be there and happy to welcome you to the showroom.

Stay tuned!🦙

Two women. Two perspectives. One shared space.

What happens when interior design and art meet under one roof?

In our Munich showrooms, two independent worlds flow naturally into one another. Victoria’s carefully curated interiors meet Ira’s selection of fine art photography, creating spaces in which furniture, objects and art are not considered separately, but allowed to enter into a dialogue.

What connects us is not only a shared appreciation for exceptional design, craftsmanship and art, but also friendship, trust and the joy of working alongside another woman with a strong vision of her own.

Swipe through for a glimpse into our two worlds: from a @remadeinterior setting featuring @de_sede_official, cushions by @ananeo_design and @lpj_studios, and a candleholder by @luest.metallgestaltung, to a selection of four photographs by @maxvadukul from @irastehmann Fine Art.

Different disciplines, independent businesses, distinct perspectives and a shared belief that the most interesting spaces are created when things aren’t considered in isolation.

Here’s to friendship, collaboration and women creating space for one another — quite literally. ✨ taken in Munich, Germany by @remadeinterior

Some pieces are simply meant to be lived with and this remarkable armchair has found its new home. ✨
Over the past weeks, it has become one of the most admired pieces in our showroom, sparking conversations, inspiring visitors and finding more than one admirer along the way.

Before beginning its next chapter, it will receive the care it deserves through our restoration service, ensuring that it can be enjoyed for many years to come.

And while one story continues elsewhere, the showroom is already evolving around it. For one of its final portraits at REMADE Interior, the armchair meets a new arrival: Aurora Lume by @liniedesign, a beautiful encounter between vintage character and contemporary design.
That is one of the things we love most about our showroom: pieces come, stories unfold, new dialogues emerge and eventually, the right object finds the right home.

We can’t wait to see where this one will continue its journey. 🤍

Every interior tells a story through layers.

Furniture shapes the space. Materials create atmosphere. And art introduces emotion, contrast and personality.

Whether it is a contemporary work by @leonloewentraut, a handcrafted ceramic object or a carefully chosen textile, every element has the potential to transform the way a room is experienced.

For us, selecting art is never about filling an empty wall. It is about creating a dialogue: between colour and texture, between architecture and object, between the room and the people who inhabit it.

Because great design is never about individual objects.
It is about the harmony they create together.

Can clay sing?
During our visit to @ateliervierkant, Dries, one of the three brothers leading the family business, revealed one of the atelier’s most remarkable secrets.

Listen closely.

Fired at temperatures of up to 1,200°C, the vessels develop an extraordinary density that allows them to resonate with a deep, bell-like sound when gently struck. A simple gesture suddenly transforms these sculptural objects into something almost alive.

It was one of those moments that perfectly captures what Atelier Vierkant is all about: craftsmanship that engages all the senses.
These are not merely vessels for plants.

They are objects with presence, character and a soul of their own.
Turn the sound on. 🔔✨
