Such an amazing experience to be involved in a Rhino de-horning. It’s heart breaking that the survival of this species has come to this, but also incredibly inspiring to know that people are putting in hard work - daily - to STOP Rhino poaching. #stoprhinopoaching #hornsarenotmedicine @causeconservation @rememberandgive @linnieschmidt @simonjamesnaylor @andbeyondphinda @bayalaprivatesafarilodge @stoprhinopoaching taken in South Africa by @rememberandgive

A special thanks to @causeconservation and @linnieschmidt who participated in some rhino dehorning this last week at @andbeyondphinda . This charity raised US$67 000 for various conservation and community development projects last year. Rhino dehorning, field ranger legal training, apu equipment and community conservation intern course fees amongst other things across a number of reserves and provinces in South Africa. @africa_found @stoprhinopoaching @chipembere_rhino_foundation @rememberandgive by @rememberandgive

We are so thankful for Cause Conservation’s partnership with us, in our efforts to raise funds for rhino conservation and awareness of rhino poaching in Southern Africa. Thanks to their passion and enthusiasm, their recent week-long @rhinoawarenessweek campaign in the Laguna Beach area raised $22,000 to support Africa Foundation Rhino Conservation and Conservation Training programs in South Africa. Thank you @causeconservation! #thankfulthursday

Anti-Poaching Units (APU)
Rangers are a MASSIVE part of protecting these endangered animals. It requires time, money and many resources to make sure that these rangers are well educated, trained, and safe on the front line of this poaching war. With #rhinoguardians like @blackrhinowheels and @stoprhinopaching, these 12 rangers completed an Advanced Field Ranger Course in Addo Elephant National Park.
.
These courses can cost upwards of $8,000 per ranger!
.
Courses include a week long intensive training program, advanced tech equipment such as solar charging stations, thermal handheld cameras and binoculars, basic equipment such as tactical first aid kits, radios and mobile handsets, and gear such as tents, clothing and daily necessities.
.
@stoprhinopoaching is one of our beneficiaries of Rhino Awareness Week. Thank you for all that you do!

@causeconservation and @rememberandgive together with Laguna Beach High School are honored to be screening @breakingtheirsilence film to kick off Rhino Awareness Week. On Sunday Sept 15th, 4-6 pm, the high acclaimed and award-winning documentary will be shown at Laguna Beach High School Artists Theater. You will have the opportunity to meet the director and producer of this movie, Kerry David.
.
Breaking Their Silence is a documentary covering women on the frontlines of wildlife conservation across Africa. From a judge prosecuting poachers, to a ranger who has turned to adopting baby rhinos that have been left behind after their mothers have been slaughtered for their horn, the movie provides a succinct summary of the crisis facing our endangered wildlife and is a passionate plea to humanity to get involved in solving this crisis.
.
Check out our Instagram Stories for clips of @breakingtheirsilence and some of the amazing people involved.
