happy Mother’s Day to CeCe Winans, what a surprise! An unexpected visit, just as I was about to board my flight to Europe ✈️

from the soccer mom haircut 💇‍♀️ to the 2006 silk press, you surely know how to bring an impeccable praise for years to come ✨

Now that the dust has settled and I’ve had a moment to exhale... I’m still overwhelmed.
WHAT. A. NIGHT. WHAT. A. MOMENT.

The BET Awards are a true labor of love, filled with early mornings, late nights, missed weekends, and time away from our babies. But being part of the team that honored 26 years of the BET Awards and 45 years of BET’s legacy? That’s something I’ll never forget.

This show stretched us in every way, crisis comms, last-minute calls, walk-throughs that turned into marathons, and more press releases than I can count. But through it all, we pushed forward with heart, grit, and so much love for this culture.

And when the lights came up and I felt the energy in that room, the pride, the legacy, the magic, it reminded me exactly why I do this work. And no one or any moment can take that from me.

To Team BET: what we built will live far beyond this one night. It was historic. It was Black excellence. It was ours.

P.S. I finally got my backstage Photo Booth with @krisbryant_ 💫 Thank you @michaelrowephoto, you understood the assignment like I knew you would.

P.P.S. Team Kris... I don’t have enough words. Thank you for being the most incredible partners. I’m forever grateful.

We really did something special. ❤️ #BETAwards by @remixedbybianca
