An Open Letter to my friend Nancy…
You know the saying that goes “true friendship isn’t about how long you’ve known a person rather, it’s how much impact they’ve made within the time of knowing them”. That’s one good old saying that applies to my friendship with you.

What started as a random inquisition on a lecture day ended up with the most genuine connection I could have ever imagined. I met you in 300l and without knowing it, I became a better friend.

You know one thing I admire so much about you? It’s how you embody so much kindness, goodness and intentionality. In the short time of knowing you,

I’ve witnessed the true definition of kindness and it’s far from being just nice.
It’s surfaced in the way you look out for me when I’m not there, the way you share your meals with me and the times you call me to remind me about assignment deadlines despite being angry at me for stepping on your last nerves.

If you have a friend who calls you to check on you even when angry at you, hold her dearly because if that isn’t the greatest form of kindness then I don’t know what that is.

You’re one of the most consistent people I know. Watching you grow over the past few years has been nothing short of inspiring.

Your intelligence makes me walk around with an edge of confidence knowing I have a brain box as a friend.

Your ability to think critically and at an impeccable speed is something worth admiring.

I love how you go all out for the people you love. It’s just so beautiful to watch.

With Nancy you have yourself a friend who feels deeply, a friend who asks what’s wrong at the slightest sigh and also a friend who’d rather chew jeans than tell you she loves you knowing fully well she can’t go a day without hearing from you.😂

I not only found a good friend.
I found gold.
