I’m Beth — a single mum to two wild, wonderful boys (10 & 5), living in a tiny coastal town in NSW where the coffee is strong and the school runs are short ☕🌊

By day, I work in mining (yes, that industry)

By pay check, I earn a city salary

And by location? I work from home…
(or the beach… or the local café… depending on the chaos level 😅)

Once upon a time, I thought this life was impossible unless you:
✨ moved to the city
✨ worked FIFO
✨ or sacrificed being present with your kids
Turns out… that was a lie I’d been sold.
I built a career that fits my life, not the other way around — and now I help other mums do the same 💻👩‍👧‍👦
And I have no degree and no formal Qualifications!
If you’re a mum who wants:
• more time
• less guilt
• real money
• and a job that works with motherhood
You’re in the right place 🤍

My aim is to help as many mummas as possible 😘

Pull up a chair, friend - I’ve got so much to share ✨

Im going to bust this MYTH right now.

“You have to take a pay cut to go remote.”

Nope. 🙅‍♀️

That might have been true once pre covid, but it doesn’t have to be your reality and it certainly is not mine.

There are remote roles paying the same — and sometimes MORE — than the salary you’re already earning. 💰

The key is knowing where to look, how to position your experience, and how to apply strategically. I learned this the hard way and have now worked it out for all you mummas.

You don’t have to choose between:

🏡 Working from home
💰 Earning a great salary
👩‍👧‍👦 Being more present for your family

You can have both.

Stop assuming remote means less money. Im the walking example of this.

Remote work is a location — not a pay bracket. 👏

Follow @RemoteRoles4Mums for practical tips to help you land a remote role without settling for less. I cant wait to help you all xx B

I am the queen of rambling!!!!! 😬😬😬😬

Well I used to be… not so much anymore lol

Most people hear “tell me about yourself”…
and start rambling.

That’s exactly why they don’t get the job.

This question isn’t about your life story.

It’s about your value. ✅✅✅✅

Use this instead:

• What you do now
• What you’ve done before
• A quick win
• Why you want this role

Example:
“I’m currently [role], focused on [skill].

Before that, I [experience], where I [result].

Now I’m looking to bring that into a role like this.”
Done in under 45 seconds.

No fluff. No waffle. No wasted time.

I hope this helps! 😘

At the end of an interview, they always say:

“Do you have any questions?”

Most people say no.

Big mistake.

This is your moment to stand out.

Ask this instead:

“What does success look like in this role in the first 90 days?”

Why this works:

It shows you’re serious
It shows you’re already thinking about performance
And it positions you as someone who wants to do well — not just get hired

And here’s the bonus:

Their answer literally tells you how to impress them if you get the job.

It’s simple…

But almost no one does it.

Good luck my lovely ladies ❤️

💬 Step 1: Get crystal clear on what you actually want

This is the step most mums skip… but it’s also the one that makes finding a remote job so much easier.

If you don’t know what you’re looking for, you’ll waste hours scrolling through jobs that were never the right fit.

Ask yourself:

1. 🕒 What hours realistically work for me?
Full-time? School hours? A few days a week?

2. 💻 What type of work do I actually enjoy?
Admin? Customer service? Scheduling? Data entry? Writing?

3. 🧠 What skills do I already have that employers value?
Don’t underestimate your experience.

✨ Organising school events = Coordination & project management
✨ Managing the family budget = Financial administration
✨ Running a busy household = Time management & organisation

📒 Write your answers down. This becomes your remote job filter—helping you focus on roles that fit your lifestyle instead of applying for everything you see.

💡 Bonus Tip: If you’re not sure what job titles to search for, search by the task instead. Try things like “scheduling remote jobs Australia”, “admin work from home Australia”, or “customer service remote jobs Australia.”

For the longest time, I thought living in a regional town meant I had to accept lower-paying jobs.

If you weren’t in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, earning a city salary just didn’t feel possible.

Then remote work changed everything.

Companies aren’t just hiring people who live close to the office anymore.

They’re hiring the best person for the role—no matter where they live in Australia.

That means you can enjoy the lifestyle of a regional town without sacrificing your income.

I know because I’ve done it myself... three different times over the past eight years. (I can’t believe it’s been that long! 😅)

And I’m far from the only one. Thousands of Australians are doing exactly the same thing.

✨ No daily commute.
✨ No relocating.
✨ No taking a pay cut.

Just knowing how to position yourself for the right remote opportunities.

If you’re a mum living in regional Australia and you’d love to land a genuine 9–5 remote role with a proper salary...

👇 Follow along. I’m sharing the exact strategies that helped me make it happen—plus all the lessons I learned through plenty of trial and error.

You never realise how much the little things matter… until you don’t have them anymore.

The shared bathrooms.

Waiting for a cubicle.

Walking in after someone else... 🤢

Timing your breaks around everyone else.

Then you start working from home...

And suddenly it’s:
✨ Clean
✨ Private
✨ Always available

It sounds like such a small thing—but it’s one of those everyday comforts that completely changes how your workday feels.

No one ever mentions this when they talk about the benefits of working from home.

But for so many women, especially during that time of the month... it’s honestly a game changer.

It’s one of the things I appreciate most about working from home. ❤️

“Tell me about yourself.”

It sounds simple... but it’s where so many people accidentally lose the interviewer.

❌ They tell their whole life story.
❌ They ramble.
❌ They don’t explain why they’re the right fit for the role.

Here’s the secret:
Your answer should be a 60–90 second snapshot that connects your experience directly to the job you’re applying for.

A simple formula is:

👉 Who you are professionally.
👉 Your most relevant experience.
👉 A couple of key achievements or strengths.
👉 Why you’re excited about this role.

Remember, they’re not asking for your autobiography.
They’re asking:
“Why should we keep interviewing you?”
Getting this answer right immediately makes you sound more confident, professional, and prepared.

✨ Follow for more tips to help you land a remote job without wasting months sending applications.

They asked:

‘How do you stay productive when no one’s watching you?’

Not a hard question… but I froze for a second because I’d never actually thought about how to explain it out loud.

Funny how it’s not always the hardest questions that stick with you, it’s the ones you weren’t ready for.

I was worried they thought I might be blushing around, not able to be self motivated with no boss watching over my shoulder 😬

Anyone else had a moment like this? 👀

I hope these reels can help you prepare a little more so you don’t freeze like me! 🤣🤣

Drop your most cringe response below! Don’t worry, we have all been there xx

💬 **Step 1: Get clear on *what you actually want*
Most mums skip this - but if you don’t know what type of job you want, the search will feel like a mess. Ask yourself:

1. 🕒 *How many hours can I work right now?*
Full-time? School hours? 2 days per week?

2. 💻 *What type of tasks do I enjoy or have experience in?*
 Admin? Customer service? Scheduling? Writing?

3. 🧠 *What skills do I already have that transfer well to remote jobs?*
Eg: Organising school events = project coordination
Budgeting the household = finance support

📒 Write it all down. This becomes your *remote job filter* — so you only apply for jobs that *fit your life*, not stress you out.

💡 Bonus Tip: If you don’t know the job titles to look up, start by searching “\[task] remote job Australia” - like *“scheduling remote job”* or *“admin WFH role”*
