For the past 14 years, our Womens Day Events @londonicc have been transformative movements that unites, empowers, and celebrates women across London.

This year's theme, 'Blooming', explored the journey behind becoming, the unseen process of growth, healing, and transformation that shapes every woman's story.

Flowers symbolize growth, resilience, beauty, and new beginnings which is the very essence of what Blooming represents.

It was an honour and privilege to have beautiful bouquets by the talented flower artists at @bloomsburyflowerslondon

For years I've received their exquisite bouquets on stage at the @royalballetandopera and so having their sponsorship was incredibly special. 🌸🙏🏻

I Do Need a Man

Lately, I’ve been learning a freeing truth: I do NEED my man

For a long time, I fought to be the hero in my own life driven by deep insecurities and fear of letting go. I knew I needed my husband, but I didn’t have the faith to fully come under his leadership and release control. Trying to do it all made me bitter, emotionally distant, and spiritually drained. I wasn’t being vulnerable, and I was carrying a weight that was never mine to bear.

I started comparing myself to wives on Instagram, chasing a false image of perfection and performance. It left me empty. That’s when God pulled me back to the basics:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” – Proverbs 3:5–6

I had to relearn what it means to:
• Connect deeply with my husband
• Ask for help without shame
• Embrace that I am the weaker partner, not the savior
• Confess my fears instead of hiding behind strength
• Be vulnerable, and let my husband lead

Because the truth is: “A woman who tries to be the hero dies exhausted.” @_michelewilliamson
