We asked our community to design a singlet, and you delivered. Hundreds of creative submissions poured in, and after voting, one design rose above the rest.

Born with profound hearing loss, @remyglock has discovered strength not only in persistence but also in the running community that lifts and carries her forward. Her design features “Keep Going” in American Sign Language (ASL) — a message of resilience, connection, and the unspoken camaraderie that unites runners everywhere.

Here’s a meaningful project from last fall that I’m really proud of. Although I couldn’t attend in person due to traveling overseas, I’m thrilled with how everything turned out!

The Breakthrough Board raises funds to support breakthroughs in cancer research at UChicago Medicine by hosting annual gala events. Ogilvy developed the 2024 theme for this ball at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago. “Where Breakthroughs Blossom,” showcased a modern art nouveau approach of abundance where cancer research and medical advancements continue to blossom. I illustrated the invitation floral design system, which was letterpress printed and inspired by a garden arch, complementing the event staging design.

A huge thank you to everyone who brought this vision to life — it truly took a village!

What a phenomenal experience! This unique illustration request from U.S. Soccer was a sprint.

Designing hands to fingerspell C-H-A-M-P-S 🏆 in American Sign Language (ASL) was a new style for me to kick and I wanted these to feel modern, sleek and BOLD to fit the vibrant athletic warm-up attire for both @uswnt and #USdeafWNT teams. I’m grateful to have had an opportunity to score such a cool project. ⚽️

The historical doubleheader was aired and played last weekend with double shutouts! Such an inclusive experience to celebrate unity and empowerment. This was a full circle moment, as soccer was my first sport at the age of three.

The Abbi Agency approached me to do a conference room mural after they saw my painted power box by the Pioneer Theatre in Reno. I was super thrilled to get on board — especially when they worked around my full time job schedule. Many after hours and snowy weekends were devoted to complete the project. This was an amazing opportunity and I’m so glad I was able to do it in my spare time!

These walls illustrate core agency values @theabbiagency follow as a company. AGILE, FIERCE, INTENTIONAL, LOYAL and REAL with “TAA” abbreviations highlighted in bright colors. I also included art tools since they are a creative agency that inspires from within.

The design creativity came from The Biggest Little City. The mountains, being able to ride bikes, ski, fish, taking train trips, the constant sunshine and so much more that makes it a special place to me. Reno is breeding a lot of talented artists, makers and designers and I’m eager to be part of this community again.

Thank you for letting me bring this to life.

Lastly, I found “Hom Tips” super insightful to collect content from a sample shot list to document my progress from a mural course I took from @homsweethom a few years back. TY!!! 🤟🏼

It’s exciting to see what this project will lead to next.

Remy Glock is one of the most fascinating artists in Northern Nevada.

This mural, which now encompasses our conference room, is an ode to our intentional, agile, fierce, loyal, and real values. Remy’s art perfectly aligns with those values and helps shine a light on them.

We’re entirely grateful for her masterful mural work, which will aim to inspire our clients and team members for years to come.

The Biggest Little City does have a ‘small world’ impact. While I am currently doing a mural for @theabbiagency — Abbi kindly shared my name with Colin, from the Nevada Museum of Art. He asked me to be a keynote speaker at the Scholastic Art Award event in February. With exactly one month to prepare and a red-eye Chicago flight the same evening as the event, the timing was kinda tight. Looking back, it was so fulfilling to be brave because I knew that sharing my story would help inspire professional paths that high school students can take.  I shared my obsession when I was a kid — “softball is life” and had high hopes to play in college. Scratch that. The teen version of myself realized ART IS LIFE. Boom, that was the obvious career lane. Eventually leading to graphic design which has given me the opportunity to study in New York and work in Chicago. Being a boomerang Nevadan (after 14 years) has been a humbling and honorable experience. It was a full circle to have my high school art teacher - Carol Quinn, my mom and family present in the audience and to acknowledge the importance of mentorship and guidance. Keep those special to you in your circle. 
As a Scholastic Art Award Alumni, it was enlightening to see the emerging talent in this generation of Northern Nevada. They are making me proud and off to optimistic futures. Shout out to the local art teachers for passionately serving in our community. 
Please enjoy these nuggets of my old tools and art. Remember, you will be a SURVIVING artist. Motivation comes from the positive rewards of winning. Anything is possible — give your gift.  Thank you Reno, for having me…back.
