before September ends 🖤

this lap was the heaviest.

24 put me through things I never saw coming. Experiences I wasn’t prepared for, moments that changed me, and situations that forced me to become a version of myself I didn’t even know I needed to be. There were times where everything felt like it was finally coming together, while somehow everything around me was falling apart at the same time.

I spent a lot of time trying to run from things I didn’t want to feel. Trying to distract myself, act like I was good and keep moving like nothing affected me. But eventually I realised some things you can’t run from. You just have to sit with them, feel them for what they are, learn how to carry them and keep going.

I outgrew situations I thought would always be part of my life. I had to accept things I didn’t want to accept. But somewhere through all of that, I started choosing myself more. I became more protective of my peace, my energy and the people I keep around me. I started surrounding myself with people who genuinely want to see me win, grow and become better.

24 wasn’t perfect. Far from it. It hurt, it humbled me, tested me and changed me in ways I’m still trying to understand.

But maybe that was the point.

On to the next lap, still learning, still making mistakes and still figuring shit out as I go.
