This is a topic that sits very close to my heart. 💗

After losing my beautiful Grandma to breast cancer and watching my Auntie having one of her breasts removed, this is a topic that hits incredibly close to home. Cancer runs in my family, so this isn’t just a conversation to me. It’s deeply personal.

I’m incredibly grateful for the work the Pink Ribbon Appeal does to raise awareness and fund breast cancer research. But I also believe we need to have more conversations about the ingredients in the products we use every single day, and continue asking questions about their safety and potential effects on our health.

I worry that some brands use the pink ribbon to show their support, without giving the same attention to what’s actually going into their formulas.
For me, caring about women’s health means looking beyond the label on the front and reading the ingredients on the back. It means questioning, researching and making informed choices wherever we can. This is why I choose and love @du.lese as my deodorant and one of the reasons why I created @rena.skin.

I’m not saying we have all the answers, and I would never want to create fear. But when cancer has touched your family, you can’t help but want to understand more, ask more questions and do what you can to protect the people you love.

Women’s health deserves more than a pink ribbon. It deserves ongoing research, transparency and the hard conversations we aren’t afraid to have. 💗

A lovely afternoon spent creating content with these two 💛

I headed down to RENA skin at Riverslea Mall to meet Flora Facialist, who has recently moved into the space.

We had plenty to talk about, including new products, upcoming treatments and some exciting plans they’ll be working on together.

RENA skin and Flora Facialist are creating a beautiful space where our local community can feel welcome, relax and enjoy a little time for themselves.
