This week I completed my last #Hyrox I would have never predicted this would be a part of my life’s journey. More than anything Hyrox has taught me that I am much stronger than I sometimes believe I am (physically and mentally). In the words of my mom, “it’s time for new adventures” now. Little sisters follow big sisters. I talked you into our first Hyrox, and you didn’t think twice. You immediately said, “I’m in,” and got to training right alongside me. Big sisters are supposed to protect little sisters. And the truth I’ve carried since April 2025 is the guilt I’ve felt that I couldn’t protect you that first time around. You had a medical emergency despite your dedication in training, and I didn’t even know, because I was still on the course finishing my race. If I had known, I would have stopped everything to get to you. That’s what big sisters do. But then, I watched you come back a few months later. I watched you rise and finish your own race and I cried watching you show yourself and your daughter what resilience looks like. So when you asked me to do Hyrox doubles with you, I said… get somebody else to do it! 🤦🏾‍♀️ You know I do not like this race, but for you, for me, for us… it was unfinished business. We needed to cross that line TOGETHER. Above all else, what big sisters really want is for our little sisters to be happy and to watch them thrive! I know I held us back on that course this week. I know I got on your nerves apologizing with my pitiful facial expressions the whole way because I was struggling. But the mission got done. We finished together. So keep soaring, little sister! You are built for Hyrox. You don’t need my protection anymore, even though I’ll always show up when you need me to. I will forever be proud that we crossed that finish line side by side. We did it. Thank you to my OG sis for supporting me in this! I needed an accountability partner and she stepped right up! Some days I modified , but I showed up every single day.
No daily videos, just snapshots of proof. This year has taught me to stop trying to prove stuff to others and focus on being true to myself.
Consistency, not perfection! That’s how I built a new FLOW for this season of my life.
I focused on now, not what used to be, and I was reminded I am still strong!

Happy National Son’s Day! 💜 Never judge a book by its cover. Yes, he’s the tongue-wagging Que who rarely checks in with his mom. But he’s also the academic achiever who took first place in a research challenge, presented his work in Sweden, and explored Europe along the way. Now he’s setting his sights on graduate school. It’s senior year, and Edred is living life to the fullest. I’m so proud of him. His focus, his desire to explore, his confidence, and above all his kindness and good heart. Happy Birthday, Shirelle! Your smile, your laugh, your energy…All of it is contagious. There isn’t a single person you’ve met who hasn’t felt your joy! Talk about a Then vs NOW! 🤯 On this day 14 years ago, our son was missing 2 front teeth! Today, he is SOLO DOLO in Europe. He landed in Copenhagen and made his way to Malmo Sweden! Why?! Because he is brilliant and presenting his WINNING research project done over the summer at the European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV). ECCV is widely acknowledged as one of the 3 preeminent conferences in computer vision. Computer vision is the field of AI that gives computers the ability to “see and understand “ digital images and videos like humans do. Our entire family is so very proud of him! I may not be where I once was, but I am NOT where I once was! The past 6 months have required me to SHIFT! Life changes, fractured relationships, caring for loved ones, a torn rotator cuff, professional changes…have all resulted in a season of tapping the brakes instead of the pressing the gas. It didn’t mean I needed Stop all together, but did mean slowing down and doing things outside of my routine and comfort zone. What never wavered, though, was treating my health as non-negotiable. Change is a part of everyone’s journey. But if we stay committed to our core values, our WHY, when the time is right, we will know when it’s #TimeToAccelerate again. Today I’m celebrating another year of life, and I’m not taking one bit of it for granted. So today I’m grateful. Grateful for healing, grateful for the pivots, grateful for every decision that felt scary in the moment and necessary in hindsight. Grateful to be able to live my dreams out loud!
