Yayoi Kusama // Naoshima Naoshima, conocida como la isla del arte en Japón, es un lugar donde el arte contemporáneo, la arquitectura y la naturaleza se mezclan de una manera increíble. Todo comenzó a finales de los años 80, pero fue en 1992 cuando abrió Benesse House, un museo y hotel diseñado por Tadao Ando. Desde entonces, la isla se ha transformado en un destino lleno de museos, galerías e instalaciones de arte al aire libre. Una de sus obras más icónicas es la famosa calabaza amarilla de Yayoi Kusama, artista japonesa reconocida mundialmente por sus patrones de puntos y colores vibrantes. La escultura llegó a Naoshima en 1994 y se convirtió en uno de los símbolos de la isla. Lo más especial es que aquí el arte no está solamente dentro de los museos: lo encuentras caminando por la isla, frente al mar y hasta dentro de antiguas casas japonesas.
