I’ve always loved mentoring. My community has been so strong and supportive my entire life and I find it incredibly rewarding to share that support. What is knowledge worth if you keep it for yourself!?

I had the itch this year to find a way to mentor in a more official capacity, and I thought who would be better for me to mentor than writers!?!? That’s how I found @roundtablementor 🥰

My bestie wrote a book and I read it (if you knew the size of my TBR you’d understand what a big deal this is)

Unapologetic Oversharing, Self-Awareness, and Buffalo Sauce is like if memoir and self-help got married and had a little anxious baby. Renata writes like she talks (and I love how she talks). And she talks about everything, but managed to keep this book super concise and readable??? Is she a unicorn???

Bonus: she included worksheets inside the book for you to fill in as you go so you definitely get something out of it.

🌟 To be honest, the book started as a blog that served as an online journal. I’ve always loved writing but I’ve always done it inconsistently, and the blog gave me a reason to write every week. I’d like to think that my relatable, funny, and thought-provoking writing style helped readers to feel less alone. Once I had several years worth of content, I realized that I could write a cohesive piece and reach a wider audience. Since its release, I’ve had several readers approach me to say that the book helped them think of things in a whole new way or helped them be gentler with themselves. Truly, what more can an author ask of a review than their work helping someone to be gentler with themselves!?

Why yes, I am posting about this because I am far too sentimental 😅

When I started throwing at @choppershh I learned that everyone throwing there had been bestowed a nickname at some point, and of course I was immediately far too exited to get mine. FINALLY got my nickname this week and I was so excited that I texted a bunch of people…and then realized that I just HAD to post about it 🪓
