This past Saturday, I had the privilege of watching "The Odyssey" in @imax 70mm at IMAX HQ!Every time I walk back into the building, it's an emotional moment. I spent incredible years there as part of the IMAX Marketing team before leaving to pursue my full-time Master's in Producing at @americanfilminstitute. My time at IMAX and my journey at AFI have shaped both my love for the theatrical experience and the filmmaker I'm becoming.Before the film even begins, you can feel the power of being in an IMAX theater, even before there is content on the screen. Then the first frame appears, and you're transported to a new world. This is the power of IMAX.I traveled to Ithaca. I joined Odysseus on his journey, and for a few hours, the outside world disappeared.Everything grows in IMAX: the images, the sound, the emotions, the scale of the story. "The Odyssey" is a remarkable example of what filmmakers can achieve when storytelling meets the full potential of IMAX technology. IMAX doesn't just make movies bigger; it makes every story more immersive and unforgettable.The impact of this experience so far: $264M global opening!A powerful reminder that audiences continue to embrace ambitious filmmaking and the theatrical experience.I'm incredibly grateful to everyone at IMAX for welcoming me back, and congratulations to the teams at IMAX and @nbcuniversal for bringing this extraordinary experience to audiences around the world.
