It’s crazy how much the edit can control the narrative.When there are many cuts, the ideas start to feel rushed, unstable, almost desperate. That is where the emotion goes. But when you stay on simple shots long enough, you give the viewer the chance to really enter the scene and digest the concept. You start noticing the details, the silences, the distance between characters, and the things that only appear when you look closely.Then color takes over.Cold spaces feel distant and unknown, while bright, warm ones can feel safe, familiar, and almost cozy. Great experience at the cinema premiere of “Ciao Ciao” a Maltese feature film produced by @lampastampafilms and @roughcutpictures where I had the opportunity to be in charge of sound production on set. A fun challenge where in only 10 days we worked non-stop to shoot what became this amazing piece of film with such a well done script, talented actors and passionate crew. Honestly, it all turned out to be way better and funnier than I thought, great editing, a must-watch!🍿🗓️ Ciao Ciao will be available in cinemas from March 28th (Malta and Gozo) stay tuned for more details on where to watch it.
