Trying this c12a out one of our artist had. He said he bought it from Wes Dooley (aea mics) and hasn’t turned it on or used it in 20years so I was really careful about firing it up but we got to shoot it out against my 414eb which I adore and damn absolutely blew it away. Using an rca77dx instead of my usually 44bx with it to catch her also and whatever those two mics are doing together is amazing no eq no compression. Having fun with John zumwalt in the house producing for these sessions also. by @rende.records

Some shots from a jam session with @rende.records this weekend on this beautiful @yamahadrumsofficial Recording Custom.

The Recording Custom has been featured on more albums than just about any other kit out there, and after this session, I can see why. It paired perfectly with my @ludwigdrumshq Black Beauty.

I picked up this jcm800 last week and man It’s basically like the coming of age story for any guitarists dream. This thing completely shatters my whole perspective theres like a million marshall in a box pedals and then there is this. Which let me tell ya exceeds all hopes and expectations. Im using this little post ampfx rig I made its got preset control like the oldschool bradshaw cae systems. This setup has kinda been making me feel like whats the point of using pedals anymore… If you want to sound like the records you need one of these! Thank god for the modern load boxes because this thing would shatter the earth without one. by @rende.records

Today’s mic war we were shooting out vocal mics for the new decibel dogs record, what a fun line up today. Patrick Istefandis brought his upton 251 to the session to see if we would like it and man I approve what a smooth mic! Great experiences all around here!

Ultimately I think we will with the 251 for the song I was shooting it against my 414eb ck12 and was kinda suprised at how similar it was to my vintage u87 more than my 414eb ultimately I thought the 251 won over all the mics rca44, u47, u87, 414eb, d1000e, sm7, ev665 where the mics used. by @rende.records

Redid the guitar rig now with double the loadbox and eventide this has been the coolest guitar rig I think this setup actually shrank the rig down a ton because now I can do the dry/wet stereo setup on just one Marshall 4x12 instead of the two fullstacks I was planning with wet signal going to the top and dry signal going to the bottom cab. Saving room on the stage for the drummer and the bassist to bring out his svt. by @rende.records

Recorded a band called retro vibe last night to tape had a lot of fun tracking them live to tape. It was a very crunch time for me getting the studio back together without much chance to really get to test to see if anything was a go but damn it all came together in perfect timing. This was my first session in the new control room upstairs and it felt really amazing. Ive Definitely made some drastic changes in my recording life lately and it’s been challenging in different ways but extremely rewarding for me i see a whole different path in the new studio build. by @rende.records

Got the Console upstairs thanks to the lovely wrecking crew ✅ of holiday drywall and cold zone air conditioning. Also got the tannoy dmt215s soffit mounted in the walls and a minisplit ac installed up there it’s gonna be a whole new setup over at the studio when I’m done with it! by @rende.records
