Finding out that someone you love has taken their own life is an experience that cannot be described with words. But it’s especially disarming when doing so is something you have spent years of your own life considering. By the worst means possible, you get to experience life as those close to you would have had you gone through with it. And it hurts to understand so deeply why someone would choose that path.

I wrote this four days ago.

I hope it lands somewhere safe ❤️
