Setting a boundary is one thing. Standing on it when it matters is another.

🌀Maybe you set it from a calm place, but you can’t hold it when the pressure hits. Or maybe your boundaries have come from hurt: pulling away, going silent, or saying yes when you meant no. Either way, there’s another way, and it starts in the body.

This morning while in a special breathwork session for the Reimaging Death Cohort I’m part of Braiding Sweetgrass came up as an amazing resource for legacy and wisdom (and so much more). Funny enough I picked up reading this book again this week. The excerpt above is what struck me today. They feel synchronous for such a time as this.

My hope for anyone who celebrates Thanksgiving, may you not be so distanced from the land that provided the food you get to ingest. Even if it’s been modified to the moon and back, the earth still held everything needed in the process to get it to your table. May you not be distanced from the people who first stewarded the lands and those who tend and work the lands now. To keep living joyful while honoring the dead and returning to right relationship with the land and all people.
That is all.✨💙

Also, I added the emphasis on words 😁

These words emerged for me in a practice done as part of a cohort exploring the concept of death cross culturally guided by @passages.earth.
The inquiry, what are you embracing when it comes to death? I wanted to embrace more embodiment as it relates to death.

Grateful for the spaces that hold me. 🥹✨

I’m excited to share that I’ve completed the 3,000 supervised hours necessary to qualify for the state clinical license exam for MFT’s. As I prepare myself to study for the exam I’m also eager to create something that speaks directly to my community (that includes you!) and supports your growth and healing. In order for me to do that I need to hear from you!
I’ve crafted a short survey (link in bio) for you to share with me what would be the most impactful thing for you to explore.
THANK YOU in advance for taking a sec to do this. Your feedback is going to make a big impact on everything that I’m working on. Much love and appreciation 💙✨
Survey link in bio & story for the next 48 hours!

I was reminded today in my practice and by a teacher that boundaries are the things that help protect who and what we love. With the energy of today (Kej), it especially important to know when and what type of boundaries we need to protect and preserve what is special about us and to us. When we release someone who loves us from an expectation they are not equipped to meet, we free the relationship from mutual disappointments and potential resentments building up. We protect what we love when we are kind and clear with our boundaries, firstly with ourselves and then when we share them with others. It’s an invitation to be in connection, not a barred wire fence to be scaled and breached. Move accordingly. 💙✨

Quote from Minaa B.’s book “Owning Our Struggles: A path to healing and finding community in a broken world”. Can’t find a copy at your local bookstore, find it at bookshop.org and support a local bookstore of your choice in the process. 📚

If you’re anything like me you might forget to celebrate your accomplishments every now and again when there’s still so much more to be explored. 🏔
I’m excited to share this collaborative space where I’ll be co-hosting with @e.vaahh as we celebrate the progress we’ve made towards our goals so far this year (bet you’ve accomplished something that deserves cheers!), explore our current milestone trajectory and make any shifts needed to best support our way forward. This is meant to be a space for those who’ve created a vision board and could use a community container as they review, revise and recommit to their hearts mission.
(and because doing things alone can be hard😉)

All my love Renee 💙✨
