LAST SATURDAY RECAP: RENEGADE OPEN MIC WAS A HUGE SUCCESS 🎤🖤

Saturday night, Austin showed up. And wow.

Musicians, poets, storytellers, and listeners all came together to share their art, their hearts, their time, and their attention. We shared food. We shared space. We made memories.

In a world that feels more divided every day, simply gathering as a community is an act of rebellion. Being in a room together, making art together, paying attention to one another? That’s the most renegade thing we can do. 🤠

Thank you to our musicians who brought the songs. Thank you to our poets who brought the words. Thank you to the community members whose shares leaned storyteller and had us hanging on every word. And thank you to everyone who held space and listened, taking it all in. You made the night what it was.

A special thank you to @sean for bringing tea and sharing it with the community as an act of service. Warm cups, warm hearts. 🍵

ACL weekend, Austin. We’re not an official ACL event, but we’re popping up right next to the action. Renegade style. 🤠

The stage is yours. Singers, pickers, poets, first-timers, pros. Bring your song and your nerve. Just here to listen? Who doesn’t love a good listener?

🔊 Full PA system provided. Just plug in. House guitar available in a pinch. 🎶 Open mic 7-9 PM (come through at 6:30 to mingle + sign up) 📍 Somewhere downtown. Location reveal coming soon 👀 🎟️ FREE. RSVP at the link in bio.

Still thinking about last Friday at Doug Sahm Hill — sunset, skyline views, good people, and live music under the Austin sky.

Massive thanks to Robb Safko of EYERL @eyerl_music for joining us on the Renegade Sessions stage and sharing such a special, intimate set with us. And thank you to everyone who came out, brought friends, listened, mingled, and made the evening what it was. 🪄

We’ve played beneath the glowing treehouse at Pease Park.
We’ve taken over the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge.
And this time?

We’ve got another spot in mind. 👀

Kohanna (Indie-Folk / Americana)
Born in Arizona and shaped by years spent across Virginia, Baltimore, Colorado, Nashville, Europe, and now Austin, Kohanna writes songs that feel like postcards from a life in motion - carrying love, loss, joy, and hope in equal measure. Blending indie-folk, Americana, groove, and vulnerable storytelling.

Looking for a sweet little ATX summer evening this June?

Join us for the second Renegade Sessions pop-up concert - this time tucked beneath the glowing netted treehouse at Kingsbury Commons in Pease Park.
We’ve had a vision of live music echoing underneath the illuminated woven canopy as sunset melts into a warm Austin night - people lounging around the treehouse, leaned against the globe’s circular metal structure or curled up inside its suspended netted bowl, connecting, listening, and soaking in the atmosphere together.
