Happy 40th Birthday to my beautiful friend, Brannette! 🥳❤️

I’m so grateful for the gift of our friendship and for all the years we’ve shared from college days to adulthood. We have truly walked through so many seasons of life together: the good, the challenging, the exciting, and everything in between. Through it all, our friendship has remained a blessing.

As you step into this beautiful new chapter, my prayer is that God grants you the desires of your heart, orders your steps, and fills this next decade with an abundance of joy, purpose, peace, love, and blessings! 🙏🏾💝

Proud mom moment from afar! 💙📚🏆

While I’m away on my honeymoon, Harrison was celebrated at his Kumon Awards Ceremony for being advanced level in both Math and Reading! ➗📖✨ I hate that I couldn’t be there in person, but my heart was definitely there with him.

And I’m so grateful for the village that showed up to cheer him on. 🥰 Granny Lisa, his dad, bonus mom, bonus grandma, and baby Elliot were all there to make sure he felt surrounded by love and support. 🥹💙

So proud of you, Harrison! Keep working hard, keep learning, and keep shining. Mommy is always cheering you on, no matter how many miles away I may be!

Long uncomfortable post out of obedience…

My baby has a fit if his bottle isn’t ready the moment he’s ready to drink it. He watches us prepare it and knows it’s coming. He tries to pull the tubes off my pump while I’m pumping, fusses while the bottle is warming, and whines as we get everything ready. We talk him through the whole process:

“It’s coming, son. Mommy’s getting it ready. Daddy’s helping. Just a little longer.”

What he doesn’t understand is that we’re not delaying him. We are indeed preparing for him.

If we rushed and gave him a cold bottle, he’d be uncomfortable and gassy. If I didn’t pump enough or prepare properly, he’d still be hungry and fussy. So we take the time to do what needs to be done, even when he doesn’t understand why he has to wait.

And isn’t that how we are with God sometimes?

We pray. We ask. We believe. We can even see things moving in the background. Yet while we’re watching the process unfold, we become impatient because the answer isn’t in our hands yet.

But God sees what we don’t.

He’s warming what needs to be warmed. He’s preparing what needs to be prepared. He’s making sure what reaches us is exactly what we need and not just what we want in the moment.

The very thing that feels like a delay may actually be God’s preparation.

As I hold my son after he finally gets his bottle, watching him calm down and drift peacefully to sleep, I can’t help but think: how many times has God been saying the same thing to me?

“It’s coming, child. I’m getting it ready. Just a little longer.”

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time… though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not delay.” Habakkuk 2:3

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

I pray this blesses someone.

Trust the process. Trust the preparation. Trust the Father who knows exactly what you need.

As I sit here holding Elliot tonight after dinner with you, I can’t help but think about how blessed he is to have you as his big brother. The love you have for him, the way you look out for him, and the joy you bring to his life already make you the best big brother ever.

I couldn’t let this day pass without publicly wishing you a very happy birthday. I am so grateful that Nicole shares you with me, and I’m thankful to have you as my bonus son. One year ago today, I said “I do” and without hesitation, I would say it all over again. 🤍

Marrying you, Anthony, was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. This past year has been filled with love, growth, laughter, and the most beautiful blessing of all — our son, Elliot Jameson. Thank you for being such an incredible husband and father. The gift of our family means everything to me.

What makes this love story even more special is how it began. We first crossed paths at the Magic City Classic parade — long before the timing was right. Life had to shift, healing had to happen, and I had to fully surrender and grow. When the time finally came, what was meant for me found me. You were patient, you waited, and God wrote a story more beautiful than I could have imagined.
