summer; there were sunrises and sunsets, and they were beautiful. there were cities and there was nature, hikes and bike trips, harder days and easier ones. but at the end of the day, it’s the people who make those days unforgettable… a kdekoľvek na svete ste, je fajn nájsť ľudí, s ktorými prežijete aj nečakaný sneh a náledí uprostred augusta☀️🏔️🚲🤍 #ᴘʜᴏᴛᴏᴅᴜᴍᴘ by @rennatta.g

Happy runniversary. 🏃‍♀️🤍

A year ago, I was briefly dating a runner—a trail runner and B7 finisher. I had been thinking about running for a while, but maybe wanting to make an impression was the little push I needed to finally start.

So I went for my first run with my roommate. I had run here and there before, but that day quietly marked the beginning of a whole new identity: runner.

I didn’t fall in love with running overnight. Honestly, it took me months. At first, I loved the feeling after the run—the pride of showing up and doing something that felt hard. Somewhere along the way, I started loving the runs themselves.

One year later, running has given me so much more than better fitness. It gave me incredible friends, confidence, discipline, self-belief, and proof that I can do hard things if I keep showing up.

To my roommate—thank you for being there for my very first run. And to the incredible friends I’ve met along the way—thank you for every run, every encouragement, every finish line and every reminder that I’m capable of more than I think.

And to the girl who almost didn’t go for that first run… thank you for going anyway. 🤍 by @rennatta.g
