The Spa 24 Hours is only the headline. There’s a lot more happening before the lights go out.

Alec spent a week at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps with @renncurator , following a 997 4.2 practice car, a 2012 997 GT3 R and the GT3 Legends support race.

From 250-plus race cars taking over the streets of Spa to door-to-door racing through Eau Rouge, the week was a reminder that the spectacle around a major race can be just as memorable as the main event.

And with these older GT3 cars still running close to modern race pace, keeping them on track is a pretty important part of preserving motorsport history.

The Porsche 996 GT3 R.
Factory built. FIA homologated. Race proven.

This is @renncurator ’s car and I got to spend a day with it at @themagarigawaclub . A car he truly loves and for good reason.

A genuine Porsche factory race car, still wearing its original factory racing livery and built to FIA regulations of its era. Powered by the legendary 410 hp Mezger flat-six, weighing just around 1,100 kg, and designed with one purpose in mind: winning races.

Some cars are special because they’re rare. Others are special because they carry a piece of motorsport history. This one is both.

🇧🇪 Spa is Magical 💫

Absolutely an incredible experience first time racing at Spa Francorchamps at the @crowdstrike24hoursofspa support race by @gt3legends in front of 132,000 great fans!

Thank you so much to my team and the crew from @era.motorsport and my co-driver @ollybryant for all the unwavering support this weekend under the 40 degree heat 🥵

I have fallen in love with this fast-flowing circuit and keen to come back to Spa every year! 💛
