🙏🫶 by @renntv

Rad am Ring 2024 - what a ride! I'm still sorting through all the memories. But I finished 12 laps. I was quite nervous before the race - my first solo attempt. And hitting 60 soon doesn't make it easier.
Saturday at 1 PM, the 24h race started - in intense heat. It was so crowded that it took 5 minutes to roll over the start line after the race began.
No breeze in the Kesselchen section - everyone was getting grilled.
In the early morning at 2 AM and after 8 laps, I was completely spent and decided to sleep. In the morning, the rain woke me, and I was ready to call it quits, but after some coffee, the engine kicked back in and I managed to squeeze in 4 more laps.
12 laps - I searched for the limit and found it!
Massive thanks to everyone who made this event unforgettable. If we met, this shoutout is for you!

If you love #cycling & #Nordschleife - give it a try! You won't regret. (Except every time at Hohe Acht 😅)

Dolate E30 M3 - a Nordschleife icon, especially with fearless Artur Deutgen in control. Porsches for breakfast!

The pictures? Exactly two decades old. Every one of them taken on May 1st, 2004, during VLN race 3.

Those were the days without fence and cars were still allowed to take flight on Flugplatz.

Back then, winning on the Nordschleife meant building, not buying.

Times change, but memories last longer than any race.

Back with Christian Kohlhaas at the 1000km race in Hockenheim - feels like yesterday, but it's been 20 years already (April 2004). Can't quite recall the results, but I'm pretty sure we put on a good show!

Remember when BMWs were "Freude am Fahren"? Feels like they are double the size - and double the weight! - by now. Call me oldschool, but to me cars were at their best right before electronics entered the space.
For the record: the 1988 M3 is just 1.200 kg 🥰 by @renntv

Spotted this Lambo in Cologne city traffic, got stuck like any other car. The automotive ads keep telling another story: always empty roads and fun to drive, likely in a scenic setting. Our cities are cramped with cars - moving or stationary - but we got blind and take it for granted.
Sort of funny that I found an ad for exact the same Lambo, even matching colour. by @renntv
