kitchen update 💚💚💚

we started this room end of May and the plan was for this to be finished before we started the bathroom… oh how things don’t quite work out the way you intend when renovating. After what feels like an eternity of concrete floors, open ceilings, and a big fat mess, I can finally see where we are going in here and I am beyond happy! 😄💚 here’s some progress photos.

Hopefully the next photo will be the kitchen completed 🤞🏻

little/big transformation in the hallway! 🏡🎨👷🏻‍♀️

Now I’m looking at what the banisters used to look like, I don’t understand how I thought we could move banisters onto the bottom of our to-do list… man they were so ugly before! (Swipe for an ugly surprise)
So Rhys and I have been in discussion about the colour - I wanted black - Rhys wasn’t sure. The compromise was black and white… I started off painting just the handrail black and base rail, but I hated it (swipe for the picture I sent to Rhys with the message - “nope I don’t like it”) shortly after sending the photo to Rhys, I painted the banisters ALL black and even part of the wall. I get carried away sometimes 🙈
Big thanks to @readfurniture_ for making the banisters for us! 🥰

spot the photo bombing drill 👷🏻
made so much progress on this room, still some ugly plug sockets and slightly dodgy edges on the painting, but we are getting there!
beyond happy with how it’s starting to look compared to the befores 🫣 taken in Stourbridge by @renovating224

it’s the little things,
can’t believe how much a plank of wood and curtains can completely change the room
