So... this dropped today, and honestly, when I picked up the physical copy, my hands got sweaty. The Chicago Reader has been a go-to resource for me since the day I moved to Chicago. I never thought in a million years that one of my shots would be on the cover.

A heartfelt thank you to Artistic Director Mackenzie King for trusting me to capture her vision for her company shoot. Kudos and thanks to the talented dancers of Moonwater Dance Company for braving the winds of Lake Michigan, and thank you to the Reader's Art Director James Hosking for your positive support.

It was such an honor to capture the 2026 Dance For Life Warm-up and Chicago Dance Health Fund's Dance for Life 35th Anniversary Gala. This year's benefit honored lifelong visionary Randy Duncan for his 35 years of dedication to choreographing the DFL finale. It was a wonderful night of celebrating the Chicago dance community with honorary guests Alexi Giannoulias and his fabulous wife Josephine!

On August 22, 2026, nearly 2,000 community members joined together from all across the country to celebrate Chicago Dance Health Fund’s Dance for Life and its monumental 35th Anniversary.

This year’s benefit honored lifelong visionary Randy Duncan for his 35 years of service and vision.

Dance for Life welcomed nearly 2,000 audience members for its 35th Anniversary. The evening raised a record-breaking amount of $535,000 to support its mission, The Fund. We could not have done this without the love and support of our community.

75 individuals from all over the country joined together for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take BeMoved on the historic Auditorium stage. Class was led by BeMoved Founder and Dance for Life Co-Chair, Sherry Zunker!

The night unfolds in two parts:
From 7-8PM is a curated DJ set, by the amazing, @eli_thesaint + cocktail hour.

From 8-9PM is where it transforms. We bring the album to life through movement, turning listening into feeling. For this particular LP, we are adding a twist. The first half of the vinyl is Devil Wears Prada 1 and the second half of the vinyl is Devil Wears Prada 2. 🤗
