Film doesn’t make photography easier.
It makes me more present.

There’s no checking the back of the camera. No endless frames. Sometimes I miss the shot. Sometimes the light changes before I’m ready. Sometimes I wait weeks to see what I made.

But maybe that’s the point?

Film taught me to slow down, trust myself, and pay attention to the moments I probably would’ve walked past otherwise.

In a world where everything keeps getting faster, I think I’ll keep choosing something slow. Something that makes me pay attention to details.

That’s why I still shoot film in 2026. 🎞️ by @renzoroams

Maroon Bells, Colorado. On film. 🍂

Somewhere between the changing leaves and the quiet mountains, autumn reminded me why I fell in love with photography.

It was also cool running into other creators who I hadn’t met in person.
