Athlos made its London debut and Keely Hodgkinson transcended time to show out with the most iconic outfit of the track season. An ode to Cathy Freeman, Keely pulled up in a blacked out bodysuit like Catwoman thieving the eyes off all the other runners as millions of viewers were fixed on her taking the finish line victory. 4th jackpot of the season so call her a banker how she cashing in wins this year, Nike gon have to stand on business the way everyone’s boutta be sending in cheques for the next suit. How can you move so angelic, but be on demon time like this, I’d call her the leader of the Hashira, the Princess Mononoke, the Claymore laying straight C4 on the tracks. Bombing it down the final straight to cross the line in 1:56.40, I think it’s a matter of time before the indoor world record holder takes the overall GOAT title. Joga Bonito with the fit, she runs an 800m but you could feel this kind of aura miles away; from her own signature Nike collection, to a fully tailored speed suit, Keely Hodgkinson is transcending the sport in the times she runs and the way she runs them. The Backyard Bully, the Bandana Bandit, the Badman himself Mark Dowdle cashed out all the coins at the Last Soul Ultra as he picked apart the competition taking soul after soul, lap after lap, day after day.

Mark Dowdle, the Last Soul ran 95 loops, 637.1km, 395.87 miles in over 5 days of running.

That deserves a line of its own. Flights all delayed, the movements stalled, but bros motion couldn’t be stopped as he rolled in kitted in the private jet 15 minutes before the start of the race. An American with a beard and headband swapping the US of A for European soil has the streets reminiscing of a centre-half moving crazy in a land far from home. Call him Alexi Lalas because this legend has an aesthetic no runner can emulate, when Dowdle plugs his ears with the wires you know there’s heat getting written on the track. Identity, expression, and belonging are reasons outside of putting up PB’s, clocking times and exploration for runners to feel something with every stride. The streets are saying its drip or drown, but the runners gunna be saying fukumean as they lace up the newest edition of race shoes. Running has become revolutionary; in the same way the Steph 3-point shot changed the culture of the game, running has become a cultural activity, not just a physical one. It’s about joining the movement rather than just the movement itself. The haters are saying it’s becoming a driving force of aesthetics but really, the shift has shown the masses, running isn’t all competitive, but for showing up how YOU want, and do what makes YOU feel like YOU want to move. The runners are finding their own runway, and whether it’s about hybrid athletes or high fashion, are there now certified stylists within a new home of fashion? Style has made marathons far bigger than just the race itself. A major marathon is now a cultural event spanning across a whole week with pop-up shops, exclusive drops and motivational speeches. Word to Anne Hathaway, the suitors now stand on the start line, and the runway is looking for its new chief editor, It’s time for a change in the running journey; call this Odyssey the Devil Wears Strava…

Call Max Jolliffe the King of Death Valley the way bro laced up like a Shinigami with one name written in his Death Note - Badwater. The Beach Kid swapped the seas for the desert and pulled out one of ultrarunning’s most breath-taking performances, breaking the Badwater course record by 40 minutes and being the first to run it in under 21 hours. The boy from Orange County put the CA in Chosen Author as he showed why he was the one to rewrite the history books. 20:53:46 on the clock, but this timepiece really showed why it’s 1of1. Someone tell the jeweller to bring out their finest buss downs because this man pulled up to turn the desert into a Frozone and showed the heat why he’s the one that’s iced out.
