More hospital beds = more care in Grays Harbor County!This week, my staff attended the ribbon cutting for Summit Pacific Medical Center’s expansion! With the help of federal funding, this incredible project doubled the hospital’s inpatient capacity, expanded emergency care, and brought back its swing bed program! Investments like these help ensure our rural communities can access the high-quality health care they deserve. I’ll keep fighting to bring more resources home so every neighbor can get the care they need. by @repemilyrandall

Today, @oversightdems questioned Jes Staley, a former JP Morgan Executive and Epstein’s private banker. It’s disappointing to hear another man lie about his complicity and involvement in the assault and mistreatment of women who were trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein. Remember: Republicans are refusing to hold actual Oversight Committee hearings, meaning witnesses don’t have to testify under oath and we don’t have subpoena authority. When @oversightdems have the gavels, we will hold these people accountable. We won’t stop fighting for justice for all survivors and for the American people. by @repemilyrandall

Folks, it’s wildfire season.Washingtonians know how quickly these fires can change lives. I remember my visit to the Bear Gulch Fire, where I saw firsthand the devastation left behind after months of burning.Across the 6th district, many communities have burn bans or fire restrictions in place. I’m on my way to vote ‘No’ on the NDAA.This bill would send Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth over a trillion dollars to continue pointless wars in Iran while families are struggling to afford groceries, housing, and healthcare. As someone who represents so many military families, it’s not something I’m excited about.I worked hard to include important priorities for WA State, like infrastructure improvements, wages and benefits support, AND my bill to open up funding for Tribal Nations that neighbor military bases.But I can’t vote for this bill. It gives Trump and Hegseth unchecked power and continues Republicans’ attacks on trans kids and families — and it simply does not meet the needs of our communities. by @repemilyrandall

We, especially those in the Latino community, are feeling our safety net being ripped away.We should be able to rely on healthcare. We shouldn’t have to move away from our families just to get a job with health insurance. It matters that we can stay in our communities, support our families, and count on care.Republicans’ cuts to healthcare have been brutal. Banning congressional stock trading sounds great, right?Republicans are trying to push through a “stock trading ban” that #1 doesn’t actually ban stock trading, and #2 — serves as a Trojan horse to include part of the SAVE Act.The SAVE Act is incredibly unpopular because it’s bad policy — that’s why they’re trying to sneak it into bills that “sound good” by name only. by @repemilyrandall

Growing up I saw first-hand how complicated it was for my mom to navigate the medical system — even when you do have coverage.In DC, I’ve heard in hearings about Medicaid fraud and improper payments — which so often is a situation like my family’s, where sometimes my mom didn’t fill out the right piece of paper because she was busy making sure my sister, Olivia, had all her needs met.The system is not built for regular people to be able to navigate. We need to make sure our safety nets and healthcare systems are serving everyday people in their communities. by @repemilyrandall
